We thought the current season was big. This season looks huge in comparison.
Here's a few new seasons of shows I already enjoy. And other stuff that popped out to me.

There's a new Fate/stay Night, called Fate/strange Fake. I like these series. However, this one is A-1 pictures, so probably won't be as high a quality.

MF Ghost (season 3). This is the new series of Initial D, and seasons 1 & 2 are top tier.

New season of Jujutsu Kaisen. This comes a month after the Jujutsu Kaisen movie hits theaters early December. I'm expecting something good.

Oshi No Ko season 3. God damn, I can't wait.

Frieren season 2. Yeah, I can't wait for this either.

Medalist season 2. I doubt any of you saw this, but I really liked it. It's about this young figure skater that's learning to skate.

New season of Trigun. Nice.

New season of Vigilanti (Boku no Hero Academia). My daughter loved the first season, so I'm sure she'll like this as well.

Also a movie for Reincarnated as a Slime. This should be fun.

More Golden Kamuy, fuck yeah.

While I enjoyed Trigun Stampede, Orange really needs to go back to Houseki no Kuni instead. The manga is done and an adaptation of the whole thing would be fantastic.

Oh, and you can delete this post as well. Thanks.

Looks like an all timer season incoming after this pretty lame fall season.

Frieren S2 is the only one I am 100% on board with. A couple isekais I liked the mangas of that I will give a try. The dragon one might be good.

If you haven't read the manga to conclusion: be careful what you wish for. I for one wouldn't want to watch or discuss it with the typical battle shonen tourist crowd.

I have read it to the end and thought it was very good. It definitely isn't battle shounen stuff, but I could see plenty of people enjoying it.

Unless the new director's goal is to turn it into tentacle hentai I'm still going to watch. This is a pretty great arc.
The new guy directed a few episodes of S1 (as well as an episode of Spy X Family) so it probably won't be an OPM S3 situation but it looks like this will be his first gig as the lead director. The guy who directed S1 is an industry vet who also directed Bocchi.

That's not what a director does. Usually animation quality falls on the producers, and somewhere between the episode director, storyboarders and animation directors.

Frieren S1 worked so well because it had two producers with fat rolodexes, and a queue around the block of people that wanted to work on the show. Including some you wouldn't normally get for TV series, and who almost work exclusively for movies.

He did a lot of key animator work before moving up to direction, so I think it's likely he was wearing multiple hats during Frieren S1.

Either way I'm not trying to doomsay, just saying that a very significant piece of the puzzle stepped back to take a much smaller role for season 2. I referenced OPM S3 just as an extreme example of a drop in quality.
