It’s obviously supposed to be hardtack. I wonder if the bread being awful is just some joke that everyone forgot why it’s made that way, and Frieren probably didn’t pay attention to something like that.

Everything about this show is so good.

Sunday is my subsplease day this season.

Hell Mode - Hell yeah. I am pretty sure I know where this season is going to end, and it should be good.
Ikoku Nikki - Serious onion ninja slice of life. Every week it just shove more knives in.
Jigokuraku - If you never watched S1, you really should. It was much better than this season, and is pretty necessary to know WTF is going on. Still has amazing art, though. Mappa powaa.
Kizoku Tensei - Been so long since I read the manga that I have no idea what is going on, but enjoying the ride.
Majutsuji Kunon - I enjoyed ep 1 so much I binged all the available manga. Love the humor.
Dragon Egg - Best asshole system voice since Slime.

I started reading the light novel of this after watching the first few episodes. The very first light novel ends when he becomes the manservant of the girl. So him killing a white deer this week was a surprise to me. The novel is written very well.

Regarding Dragon Egg, my 8 year old walked by when I was watching the first episode a few weeks ago and asked why I was watching Pokemon.

Sentenced is dark fantasy, and Frieren is high fantasy. Both are exceptional.
