Problem is for every one person like you who can accomplish shit at home In a productive manner there are 100 retard shitcock failures who are beyond worthless at home. They are mostly worthless in the office too but at least it's harder to hide their total fucking incompetence face to face with others.

It isn't harder or easier to hide incompetence from anywhere. You either get shit done or you don't.

The fact that you think this isn't reality speaks volumes.

Blame incompetent managers who have no idea what their employees are even doing.

I mean, then fire them? You can clearly see the job they do regardless of where they work, unless there's no oversight on what they do so they were probably doing the same nothing in the office, just in a less obvious way.

The main reasons companies want people to go back is so they can have all the worthless manager-type jobs they're paying for have a use, so they can micromanage everyone and make sure that if for some reason you ever do your job too efficiently and are done early they can throw some more shit at you and maybe cut someone's else job in the process and so they can make money off the buildings they own and are renting to other companies(while other companies rent the buildings your company uses). Oh and they have all sorts of investments into these buildings so them not being rented is a big problem.

There's a bunch of studies that show that generally ppl working from home are more productive(not by much though, usually 5-10%, so there's a margin for error), and a few that also show the opposite but in the same order of values, so overall you can more or less assume that it breaks even in most cases. For every Joe the Slacker who now can't work for shit because he's too distracted by his penis and fridge, you have some shmuck who now has 2 hours more to "work" due to no commuting that will work hard for 5hours so he's done early and can just go play Elden Ring earlier instead of having to pretend he's not done while fiddling with his phone and watching cat videos at the office(while keeping an eye out so they don't get spotted obviously).

Though I've never lost a job, I know it can absolutely suck. That said, it was really therapeutic to watch google trim all those fluff jobs, watching before and after youtube videos of HR / technical recruiter(lol) jobs at google, where yesterday they were bragging about all the free stuff they get, the 5 minutes of work then nap time. Then tomorrow's video they're in tears about being part of the 10% layoffs. Hopefully more companies trim the fat, kill the HR and skin color judges (aka diversity staff) from the payroll. It's just the market correcting itself.

Hi shitcock here.

As somebody who can't control my ADD or whatever the fuck my lack of attention control is labeled as now, working in an office 100% is good for me. It keeps me off toxic ass social media, watching porn, playing games and just overall being a degenerate loser. I feel like I'm with the majority here.

Maybe some day I'll be able to control myself, but unfortunately being really good at my job means I have a lot of free time. At the office I start up new projects and initiatives I wouldn't be ass'd to do at home.
Perfectly fine.

I'm the opposite. Also of the opinion that both of these types can exist in harmony as long as they're both contributing members of society and not dead weight to a team.

If you never set foot in the office except for parties and you're always reachable on Slack or Teams, and you get more done remotely, and you show up when people actually need you in person, and the company pays for your travel, I see no problem with keeping remote workers in addition to in-office workers.

These two types can exist in the same space. In games, there's already teams I've been a part of that have a "UK office" and a "US office" that aren't dysfunctional. All the community people were in the UK, a studio was in the UK, remote workers in the US adjusted their schedule for sleeping so they'd get up early to work with the UK office and made that their routine, they'd have Slack calls and communicate frequently. And this was pre-pandemic (2018-2019)

Much like all other sensationalist articles, I bet you anything Activision Blizzard will keep some employees remote that are critical, they'll lay off 'dead weight' that is remote, and I mean, in WoW's case, Proletariat is working on the other side of the country on WoW in Boston, MA - while they have an office, I bet you most of those dudes are remote by choice. I can't imagine they'll stop being remote if it works for Proletariat.

I feel personally attacked.

Working full time as a teacher I'm just doing that, coming home and being a vegetable/sleeping.

Now I have a week off to do some coding, I've found a brand new pornsite with 2 hour long Japanese videos and some are even uncensored leaks.

Anyone know what the "reputable" 3rd party gold seller sites are? Was curious how much Diablo 4 would cost if you bought the gold from them, bought tokens with gold, then converted that to bliz bucks.

Seems they want people to return. I uninstalled WoW when I got to the smurf zone in Shadowlands and have not looked back.

It took over two decades but I’m now at a point where an MMO just doesn’t fit into my lifestyle anymore.

I enjoyed the teamwork and good old fashioned bros being bros, but the effort is now outweighing the reward.

I get no enjoyment out of this anymore. I just don’t feel the same desire to compete and win at this game like I used to. It’s almost like a part of me has died inside.

Was good times while it lasted. 🍻

I played through it and just about everyone that says DF is a much better expansion isnt lying. I just feel like a lot of us put down WoW altogether in the last 4+ years and picking it back up now.. just doesnt seem as fun as it used to be. Especially when so many of the people we played with are apathetic towards playing it as well. But who knows, maybe something will scratch that same itch soon enough and we'll "make" time for an MMO.

I never really played past a month or so into each expansion the last couple times around. This time I've been playing quite a bit and have focused pretty hard on M+ across a few characters. Haven't done much M+ in the past, and I'm really enjoying it right now. Got KSH on my mage and am right around 2000 on my brewmaster and my prevoker. It's pretty satisfying knowing the routes and timing keys. They get pretty challenging in the high teens, and it's rewarding doing well and beating stuff with your buddies.

Anyone pushing 20+ Keys? I have a good set of people I run with typically but I imagine activity will die down a lot between now and the Season 2 patch. Let me know if you want to do some keys.

This for me is the current problem with all MMO's. The small carrot is not worth the amount of time it takes to get it. Items have a small incremental increase in power that is usually just numbers and boring in nature. There is no excitement that comes from completing that legendary/epic weapon quest that took your character to the next level. The items that drop from the raid bosses are lack luster. It makes for a game that is enjoyable to level in and a little fun to raid in. After that point, your character is finished.

Odd that you claim items from raid bosses are lack luster when the raid has the OP rare items, class specific weapons, and the best trinkets.

I decided to try it out after being away for probably 5 years. First thing that struck me was how fucking old the game looked (I mean, the game is essentially 20 years old at this point, so can't expect much) and how I was unused to the game itself at this point. To their credit, they do try to help returning people with various popups and stuff.

So you bought the expansion, then didn't play it at all? Because smurfs is the first zone.

I just think I was done with the whole WoW thing. Collect 5 flowers right away and I just lost interest. Then when the angry nerds started hating on the whole expansion I just forgot about it. I went and played other games instead. I don't have the patience for MMOs anymore and no friends that play them. I rather play through single player games and normal online games. The only MMO I play now is FFXIV whenever they add a new MSQ patch.

Yea fuck playing any MMO as a single player game let alone WoW. There's so many amazing single player games out there why would you ever subject yourself the the undeniably shitty systems of modern day MMOs.

And yet, aren't there M+ versions that are comparable/better and easier to get just rolling keys? I haven't played a second since 9.0, but always felt like a lot of the gearing was easier/better just chasing +gooder on the exact same item drops out of M+ every season.
