Hmm, shocked that isnt in that timeline image. New things makes it far more interesting. I really dont want to see ony again, and while mount hyjal is cool, bleh. Well, they had just described all the new stuff before that roadmap slide. Hyjal is not going to be CoT Hyjal that was in TBC where it's just a flashback essentially, it'll be entirely new content.

Very cool. Man gonna be a busy October for me. Will probably buy epic pack(since I have no interest in WC3). Maybe trying something completely new this time around, since I did mage, warrior, DK originally. Will be very curious how much is new, with just enough nostalgia to grab you. As I never really got into things like wow classic or servers like it.

MMO space is so lite on games atm. Aion2 in oct(which I will probaly be a play for 2 week thing and done again) and a bunch of rehashes like this or games trying to capture old gamers again. Where is all the NEW and ORIGINAL, sad times.

That is really the thing. There is a great interest in a new MMO game. This can be seen by the relentless success of small coop games of all kinds. People yearn for a MMO game. But small studios can't develop them and the studios who can won't take the risk as its also the easiest kind of game to fuck up and lose big.

WoW Forever is a step into positioning for this.

I think dual spec is something the game does actually need as so much of the general content is solo. If you're a healer you just have to suffer every time you want to do whatever on your own because you want to play? No, that is not good design. Let people change their talents when they need to. Make each held spec have a gold fee for a nice gold sink though.

I would have been cool with them making full triple spec unlockable, closer to retail where you can switch between all three. Or maybe just purchase more talent presets or something.

So "expanded world content" could just be level 60 WoTLK and then additional zone content on top of it spread over time.

They're clearly just copying the model TWoW and Ascension were doing it. By the looks of that content schedule they will be putting stuff out at a slower pace than Ascension was.

They'll likely do fresh servers with major content patches which is a huge mistake not having the Seasonal RPG style servers that force resets.
