Yes, but that's not really during levelling. The treasure missions require level 100 and unlocking (if that's your first Inn) thru a series of heroic dungeons (I don't think there's enough non heroic dungeon quests to get the required 10). And if you're leveling regularly, then you're going to get 100 and have 20+ followers within 2 to 3 weeks in the most casual cases.

The real question is not if you're going to build an Inn. The Inn is exceedingly useful later on, to recruit additional followers if you have a bad luck and can't ensure a 100% chance on all raid missions, and then those treasure hunters and scavengers. And the treasure missions. But while leveling, you don't need the Inn, and so, you may use a trading post or lumberyard for extra ressources, which will help you to have enough GR to finish your garrison once you ding 100.

Either the dwarf/forsaken you get during the intro quests (if you want extra dps) or the tanky type in Talador will do (if you're a squishy caster). You can forget or disable the rest.

PS: I always cracks me that the tank Paladin draenei ends up with... the warlock ability from her equivalent in the horde. There's a lot in that expansion that was done for one path, then filler stuff done at random for the other. For example, pick the Gladiator Pit in Gorgrond if you want to make sense of the questlines. The other side is completely irrelevant, and when you arrive at the end of the quest, you have absolutely no idea why that commander is all upset about some artefact that you're told to use and have no idea where it came from, and that he shouldn't have left it to some orc you've never heard about, or why you have a lone giant Raven bird waiting for you to go back to your outpost.

You can use your raid leader's garrison Mage Tower, since the mage portals drop you next to Highmaul or BRF.

(if your raid leader doesn't have one, nominate the one who does)
Early on in your 91-100 run you want the inn at least for a bit to grab a couple scavengers. The amount of GR they generate doing the rapid missions at lower levels adds up to often be faster than the other GR resource buildings. That is what my shaman did for GR instead of building the lumber mill or trade post while leveling.

Just installed accountant and the most popular garrison addon. Now I can really track how much these slaves are making me!!

When does the Inn let me recruit new followers? Only have level 1 and I don't see it yet. Although it did give me dungeon quests that netted cool stuff.

Rank 2 I would typically recommend getting it to rank 2 grab a head hunter or two fast ideally get it to rank 2 on a monday get the head hunter for a scavenger then and again the next day then swap to a trade post or lumber mill would probably be ideal for fast gain of GR when leveling. Thankfully the lumber mill and trade post are I believe gold only costs now which helps out their viability. When I was leveling my shaman you spent so much resources making them they were somewhat questionable utility during the level up unless you were lumbering like it was your job.

The problem with the Inn is that its 1 follower a week. That won't help you too much if you're leveling fast.

If you're leveling Horde, I made apost with a quick guide, it also has a link to WoWhead's follower guide, which helps a lot.

You can easily get a ton of followers pretty quick. In fact, by the time I hit 100 sometimes I have way too many and have to put 1 or 2 on inactive until I get the level 3 Barracks.

Edit: They're getting rid of Aspect of the Fox and Amplify Magic. I don't know about your guys' experience, but those were pretty crucial utility spells for us, especially during heavy movement/healing times like Twin's Quake (the dancing fire) and Blackhand's Demolition.

They didn't explicitly state that level of gear catchup, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's 655/665 gear to be collected. The new Mythic dungeons are going to drop 680 with a chance of 700 off of a special(?) boss.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to add higher ilevel (Timeless Isle style) gear to Tanaan Jungle since they're putting it behind the wall of a tier 3 garrison and a shipyard. They're hiding behind "early in development" a lot in the patch notes so we'll see how it all shakes out.

So between that and Mythic dungeons, are gonna negate 2 entire raid dungeons? We don't even have to wait for a new expansion to negate gear!

Will these dungeons be as hard as the end 3 dungeons they added in WotLK? I remember those, and were bad ass! Multiple heal and DPS checks.

I can't speak for how they handled gear catchups in Cataclysm, but in MoP you were always able to get previous tier normal ilevel gear from the current tier LFR.

Examples:

HoF/ToESNormal- 496 ilevel
Throne of ThunderLFR- 502 ilevel

Throne of ThunderNormal-522 ilevel
SoOLFR- 528 ilevel

Following this pattern, we'll be getting Hellfire Citadel LFR gear at ~690-695.

Timeless Isle gear was 489 (unupgraded), so maybe Tanaan Jungle will be 640-645? Hard to say. This is all spitballing. You can already get crafted 640 for fairly cheap, but of course not as cheap as if you went out and just picked it up off the ground.

I tried really hard to enjoy Demo and just couldn't do it. The level 100 talents made Destro feel neutered, to me. If they bring affliction back up I might give locks a try again.

Edit: Nevermind. I figured out the "why" behind the lock nerfs. Look at this fucking tier gear and tell me everyone isn't going to want to look this bad ass? If there particle effects are glowy eyes on the head and and shoulders GG.
