For a lot of people, when you trivialize content, with easier difficulty levels (i.e. LFR, Normal, Heroic) then those people fell less inclined to see the challenge or really care about it. Part of the exclusivity is seeing and doing the content that other people might not be able to.
It's different than a single player game. In a single player game, you are essentially competing by yourself against yourself. You only compare individual experiences with friends. However in a shared online space, where you doing this with others, compare experiences with not only your friends but with strangers and the community at large in a single server and in the game as a whole, make content easier for those "who just want access" takes a way the importance of the raid.
