Brief amount I've played has been mostly DH this season, feels much better to play vs Launch/S1. Mobility was a plus for the phasing, as you can't mount ect. Veng seemed damn near invincible in delves, unless I screwed up bad. I don't know what the hell happened to aff lock, was struggling in Delve 8's, when it was easy before in S1.
Haven't played at all since last week, new zone/season really didn't hold my interest.

- Remember Legion when we went and helped Noodle's normal raid on Emerald Nightmare and we were taking bets on how quickly that one DH would die? And within 30 seconds of the fight starting, he zig/zagged right into the tanks spot and promptly got one shot? .. lol, probably my favorite memory.- 2

I'll never forget the time from Legion someone damn near devolved into nerd rage hysterics on Discord when my first legendary dropped off trash, and expected us to stop right there and roll on it. Thanks for the memories FoH!

They announced another stat squish with the prepatch event for Midnight...When will they fucking learn. Going from iLevel 700 to iLevel 100. Doing 4+Million dps to 100dps... So fun...

It’s been a while so I can’t say I remember anyone specific that stood out for this, I do recall DH being at extreme spectrums though of literal dogshit players or god tier. - too many dipshits going zoom zoom.
For all the faults Legion had it was a solid time to play. It’s hard to believe the faggots will try pushing “Legion - Classic” soon.

It's also not fun at the moment: As a tank, if you press buttons the HP bars hardly move. Compared to Classic MoP for the same class is a whole different feeling.
However, this is mostly because of the bullshit hero talents. Hot take: Hero talents are just BfA corrupted gear rebranded. It's boring because it's not tied to your actual button presses, so it feels unsatisfying. Like if BfA you just carry your hero talents around and hope they proc.
This is the reason why I am not hyped for whatever bullshit talents they come up in Midnight.

I was a zoom zoom dipshit, but to be fair I'm an absolute filthy casual who never did anything above +4 mythics on Live for like 5 years now (though I probably will raid on Epoch to check out the change to the old 40 mans)

I couldnt quite put my finger on it, except to say that the characters looked plastic-like. But then, I saw this comment on this thread about the look of Warcraft being dead, and .. low and behold, it was spot on. The Elves from the cinematic dont look like Blood Elves from WoW. They look like Elves from RAID: Shadow Legends. Fucking awful... sad?... that that is so fucking spot on.

A lot of the art&asset people either left, or got laid off. So Blizzard probably either hired AI slop artists, or just straight up outsourced and offshored to content sweat shops.
Looks like they chose the same sweat shop as RAID: Shadow Legends.

According to Blizzard interviews, the Blood Elves in the Midnight cinematic look different because they wanted to convey "human emotions" which is supposedly difficult to do when your characters have full glowing eyes. I think that's bullshit personnally because while I'm not a 3D animator, I think you can convey expression just fine with facial expression, eyebrow movements and the shape of the eyes, much like they did the much prettier Blood Elf chick in Burning Crusade cinematic.
Now granted, that was a priestess in TBC and Liadrin is a paladin, so I suppose you can expect the paladin woman to look a little more rough around the edges, but the character in-game looks just like any other Blood Elf chick so the difference looks jarring.
But really, of course, they're just trying to cover the fact they made her look more manly because they want to deconstruct male gaze or some such bullshit.
Beside being not nearly as epic as some of the previous cinematics (Wrath of course, but even WoD or BFA felt a lot more epic), this cinematic has several big narrative issues that, to my knowledge, haven't happened before in Blizzard cinematics history, which is both sad and hilarious.
First, very few people would have even known this was Lady Liadrin if she wasn't called by name, because as I said she looks nothing like the character in-game (different armor than we're used to, though that's reflected in her new in-game model for Midnight, different facial structure). That's always an issue when even players who've played your game for sometimes 20+ years can't recognize the main character in your cinematic.
Second, the cinematic's story itself is presented in such a way that most people didn't realize who was coming in to help the Blood Elves at the end. Because they showed them with human silhouettes, most people assumed it was the Arathi Empire that came through because that's the new faction coming out of nowhere in TWW and they have this affiliation with the Light apparently, but nope, Blizzard had to confirm in interviews this is the Army of the Light. You know, the faction from Legion's Argus campaign back in 2018? The one that's basically 90% Lightforged Draenei who are like 7' tall next to Liadrin's 5'5? The faction who has a goddamn Lightforged DREADLORD fighting for them? The faction that wears armor that glows with the Light?
Let's show that? Maybe showcase a few of those characters coming out of the Sunwell... portal, I guess?

Instead let's go with generic humans in generic plate armor, that's gonna do the trick right?
When you make a cinematic and most players don't know who is in it and who is coming in clutch to help them, you know you're amazing at your job.
At least Lor'themar looked good (no homo).
