There's definitely some weirdness with phasing / World quests. I didn't get any new world quests for a day and a half, then once they did start repopulating, you may have to progress in that region's questline far enough for that faction to NPC to populate.

And yes, the content is phased, but its a weird mix per phase (at least to my memory) - the 7.1 Helya raid is live, but not the 7.1.5 Nighthold stuff, nor even the 7.1 Karazhan redo.

Edit: My quest chain did eventually clear up, but I still had to progress to that point.

Does anyone know if you can do the ally race unlocks in Legion Remix? I don't have any live characters that aren't Remix, but the emissary is empty of NPCs here? Some kind of phasing or quest chain problem?

No. You can only do Legion Remix related content.

Im pretty sure they removed the old requirements for most of them and you just need to take a level 40+ character to the embassy in Stormwind / Org and take 15 min / race. Earthen probably require completing TWW questline but thats w/e.

Getting to level 40 should take a couple hours.

If you are asking about the racial armor set quests, Pandaria remix (and I would assume Legion) absolutely let you level a char up to 50 to unlock that _once the characters transferred to non-Timewalking state_.

I have a collection of characters, one of each race, all from Pandaria remix, all of whom stopped at 50. If I make a second Legion character, it will be Earthen, as that was the only race new since Pandaria.

Yea I just wanted to unlock dark iron dwarves, but I don't have an alliance character at level 40 outside of remix.

Oh well, guess my remix guy doesn't get to be a cool dwarf.

You can un-Timewalking chars at any time in Legion (the square hourglass next to the character at the char select screen), just make an Alliance Legion alt, get them to 50, un-Timewalking them, then the dark irons _should_ unlock on both modes.

Ion addresses the obvious about 10 years too late. I am sure the dozens of remaining players will love it though.

On the raid fight side, designers were well aware of what WeakAuras could do, and so they avoided putting in mechanics that would be trivialized by those addons.

Incredible design there guys. Incredible.

How this fuck is the still the head of WoW explains a lot why Microsoft is in the state it is in. They are always years behind the eight-ball.

The point at which I realized that they all fucking lost the plot, was when they introduced ... healer rotations and ramp-ups. For which you obviously need specialized unit frames and weakauras, especially when you have to also pay attention to your feet, boss mechanics, and catch some stray interruptible abilities.

This is what you get when you have a guy in charge who did not ever get the appeal of an MMORPG and was more into shooters. That guy fucked off to Hasbro to put a nail in the D&D coffin, though. Which is probably the biggest reason why there is some major movements for stuff players wanted for years on the WoW side, probably also including housing.

Fucking lol. Blizz actually did it again, and nerfed players with too much Infinite Power in Legion.

Greetings Timerunners,

Due to an oversight in our loot table setup, some activities—particularly elite farming, herb gathering, and mining—were unintentionally yielding far more Infinite Power than intended, which led to a small subset of characters accumulating Infinite Power well beyond our intended thresholds.

Elite farming, mining, and herb gathering are valid gameplay choices, however, we’ve made the following adjustments to restore balance to the system and ensure a healthy game economy moving forward:

  • Infinite Power earned from Elite enemies, mining and herb gathering has been lowered.
  • Characters with over 10 million Infinite Power have had their Infinite Power reduced to 10 million.

Thanks for your understanding, and as always, we appreciate your continued feedback and support.

They didn't even pretend like players had used an 'exploit' (not that spawn rates that hadn't changed in a decade were an exploit) this time around, it's just "If you have more stuff than we want you to have, we've nullified the time you spent".

Jesus Fucking Christ, hard limit the mode to X million IP per week, clearly communicated to players in advance, if retention now trumps legitimate player effort.

They want to relive the original legion moment when players realized they soft capped legendary drop rates so all their farming had been pointless

Looks like the infinite power gain from herbs and ore is cut in half, so probably just only going to hit Rich ore nodes and seams instead of hoovering up whatever is in my path

Yeah I admit I really did enjoy the OP Shit show that was MoP remix (especially trial accounts being God mode thanks to broken scaling), but when I heard the feedback on Legion's beta, and how it was all....sanitized and unfun? I skipped this one, sounds like I made the right call.

Nah, it’s already an overpowered romp. It’s well done and a considerable improvement over MoP remix.
