NGL, one thing which let me down a little in player housing is the "Last Architect". He had daily quests, each quest will give you a piece of decor. There are 50 quests in total he has. I thought that once you hit that 50 mark either he'd just start randomizing, or you'd get some last "big finale" treasure hunt for some cool item. Nope, he just stops having quests.

You can also buy every single of those "treasure hunt" items from a nearby vendor. So it's even more disappointing.

Yeah, but it also made decent "lazy person XP" to park an alt next to him. heh

Messed around with this a bit tonight with prepatch since I was already subbed for TBC. The new UI is nice, I didn't feel like I wanted any addons really, maybe plater and auctionator but that's it. I just leveled my DH as havoc from 70 to 76, but it feels insanely fast.

Played the pre-patch content.... There's an achievement called "Two minutes to midnight" which also sums up how much real pre-patch content there is.

I kid.. I kid.... There's a whole 3-3.5 hours of pre-patch stuff to do. Including one "kill all the rares" progression which literally happens on rails. They spawn in a repeating sequence, exactly 10 minutes apart, and rotating through 6 fixed spawn points. Total time to mount/achievement? 3 hours.

Player response has been so unsatisfied that Blizz actually bumped up the spawn rate to every 5 minutes for the rotation (note that one rare is not on the rotation), increased the currency by ~150%, and increased the catchup equipment drop rates by about 10x of what they were when the event started.

Assuming that phasing issues don't put you in the wrong phase so you can't complete WQs or see certain bosses, unless you approach them from certain angles, that is.

(I would argue this is still the worst catchup event for levelling alts Blizz has put out since BC - you can't park in one spot for extended periods of time, packs of elites spawn everywhere that will wreck any newbies that aren't in tank spec, and the phasing issues previously mentioned. Hopefully you made the new alts you wanted during Timerunning.)
