Molten Core and Blackwing Lair were about as complex as EQ1 raid fights at worst - I mean fuck, a few of them even involved hiding behind a wall to avoid boss AOEs or standing with a back to a wall to mitigate knockbacks and 2nd boss of BWL literally does death touches on tanks every X seconds. If there was complexity, it usually was a gimmick. Like proper use of the orb in the first BWL room

AQ40 is around the time they started to get a bit more complex and Naxx was, IMO, the birth of the "modern" WoW raid.

No way was anything in EQ as novel/complex as that first fight in BWL where you had to control the dude and break the eggs

Mage changes look interesting compared to Classic. A lot more than just Frostbolt spam. Wonder if Fire would be viable in MC and BWL instead of automatically resisted.

I saw comments from a dev or PowerPoint or something that said they wanted the aggro & resource management to be the main focus and not movement.

If i were to toss a guess it's to show different spec. So prot, ret, and holy have different colors maybe, or they're doing what they did in Retail, each version has a different color so if there are different variations of the raid it will have different colors, so 10man will be a different color than 20.

Mage is getting frostfire bolt and its damage goes based on lowest resistance so fire can probably work in MC other than pyroblast.

MC is not being a launch raid so it'll probably be revamped anyway

So is wow legends gonna let you become a one man army like eq legends? If not then why would anyone get it over regular wow or wow classic?

No they wont be. They said the main gameplay focus of classic is the slower combat and they will keep it that way.
