It’s not funny, it’s just bad and boring and awkward. It’s unpleasant and not in the good way like a torture porn movie. It’s like watching a really bad stand up routine where even the hecklers are bored.

Yeah, Movie 43 is fucking gross and awkward, and left me questioning why I was spending time that way. It isn't even "bad in a good way".

So many people saying this is terrible is just making me want to see it.

You're wasting your time.

Hold on now, you're wrong on a couple of counts. First off, amanda was not one of the best characters. She was one of the characters. The spinoff didn't ruin her, she was always a cunt. It just didn't play as well when she was the lead. Second, The Raven was pretty good. I found it a few years ago and loved every episode. All 22 of them. It was from back when they made proper seasons. The show failed because they never marketed it. I was a huge highlander fan back then. I followed a couple of fan groups on usenet and I heard about the possible amanda spinoff but never heard they had actually made the show until a few years ago. The rumors are that they canceled it (and didn't advertise it) because amanda was a cunt IRL too and no one wanted to work with her.

The Raven... was good?

You might have a point here with "Amanda was always a cunt". Maybe it was less egregious when she had Duncan Macleod to play off of, came and went from the show, and wasn't the center of attention.

I resent that Methos didn't get the spinoff. The show's best character, and with him being 10x the age of the Macleod boys, a show about him could have gotten into some REALLY ancient history. Only a couple of episodes in the main series were able to go back further than 500 years, like Pharoah's Daughter having some flashbacks to the Roman era. A Methos show could have had lots of stuff like that. More Four Horsemen content would have also been great. They were rampaging across the globe for, what, like 1500 years?

Maybe I'll rewatch The Raven again someday and see if I appreciate it more now. The one time I watched it, the unlikeable lead just killed it for me. Nick the Cop might have been an alright love interest for her, except that the actors absolutely despised each other in real life and Amanda's actress kinda sandbagged the guy / had visible disdain for him onscreen.

And yeah, nobody knew The Raven existed. Even as someone who watched Highlander every Monday night for years, I had no idea that they continued it with a spinoff a year later. It wasn't until the show was almost over that I happened to see it on TV Guide, showing at 2 AM. Literally, 2 AM. I was like "huh, what's that?" but couldn't really stay up to watch it. I think I blasted through the show back in like 2012 or something and remember not liking much of any of it until the last few episodes. It was a "cop show" for most of the season, which I was never a fan of when Highlander: The Series did it. The last five or so episodes felt like legit Highlander episodes and then it ended. So maybe it was turning a corner but we'll never know.

Also, why'd Amanda's actress lop off her hair before the show started? The show was "The Raven" because of her long black hair, and before they started filming she went and cut it short and dyed it blonde. So she shows up on set with this Blonde Lesbian hair and they had to just kinda start filming regardless because what other choice did they have?

That damn haircut undercut the entire show from the get-go...

Holy shit, you're right. I had to look it up, it was Lloyd Bridges who played the Admiral (and later the President in the second one). For some reason in my head for a while now I vividly pictured Leslie Nielsen being in that movie. They do look and act pretty similarly and both are incredibly funny in their roles, so...yeah.

I've seen both movies a few times and always found Hot Shots to be much funnier than Hot Shots 2. I owe both a rewatch (clearly) so maybe being older I'll find more to like in the second movie.
It's ok. I too used to get Leslie Nelson and Lloyd Bridges confused. They're both great with that physical slap stick comedy.

I liked it all the way up to the black hole scene. I think we all know what happens when you enter the gravity well. You get stretched out into a piece of atomic liquorice.

Which is the biggest problem with Interstellar: retards who think they know science, but don't, complaining about shit they're wrong about.

You can get quite a ways past the event horizon of a black hole the size of the one in the movie. They can also do whatever they want approaching the singularity because at that point you're literally dividing by zero so nobody has any idea what the fuck actually happens.

I resent that Methos didn't get the spinoff. The show's best character,

Yeah I'd agree he was the most interesting immy. But I would put Joe as my favorite supporting character. Which, Joe did show up eventually in The Raven.

not liking much of any of it until the last few episodes.

It definitely picked up steam as it went. But in my experience, all shows are pretty awkward in the beginning. I think it his its stride in the second half when they moved to europe. Which coincidentally, copboy was no longer able to properly cop so you might be onto something with your disdain for cop shows. I don't mind cop shows of that era.

They had wig technology back then. They could have fixed that.

You think you can get quite a ways past the event horizon of a black hole and approach the singularity.

Hrmm, I wouldn't be calling out anyone's black hole physics just yet.

What a surprise, Furry Furry not knowing shit about science. Since you obviously don't know shit about anything, where the spaghettification happens relative to the event horizon is directly related to the size of the black hole.

I could explain it further, but that would take someone of average intelligence to understand so it would be a waste of my time

Oh, going on to explain more about black holes. I was fixated with your thought that the event horizon is somehow a separate barrier than the singularity, but please continue educating me. I miss the days of laughing at you being a retard in the science thread.

So you think an event horizon and singularity are the same thing? Bro, take the L on this one you're fucking lost

You're the one contending singularities exist. We don't know.

Well that's crazy, almost like it's exactly what I said about it's dividing by zero and we have no idea what it actually is. Did you google the event horizon thing, realize I'm right, and now pretending you were just arguing against a completely different point, which you also don't understand and are just embarrassing yourself even more?

Nope, I still think your retarded for contending you can get past an event horizon. Not possible. I wouldn't agree that spaghettification is the reason. Comically high levels of the other forces around a black hole would slag the spaceship well before it reached the event horizon.

But its a movie, I don't care if its accurate, so I enjoyed interstellar.

So you agree with me that the issue he was complaining about isn't an actual issue, glad you decided to jump in and agree with me. They try to explain the accretion disk radiation issue by saying it's old, sparse, and thin. There's other things that "could" get you, but I'm not aware of anything else that would make it completely impossible like you're claiming
