yeah I have no idea wtf you are even going on about.

What defines classic? the world as it existed prior to cataclysm redid all the vanilla zones. Classic talent system. Classic classes. Classic quests. Classic balance. Bronzebeard is all of these things, perhaps the best version of all of these things ever devised in a classic server.

What it isn't is Vanilla. Vanilla was, at it's heart, a dogshit game, from a class/talent/spec/balance perspective. Every single version of "classic," save for the original WoW Classic official #nochanges vanilla classic launch, has had to redo vanilla to make it not fucking aids.

What you want is the aids i guess, sorry dude nobody wants aids.

Their tbc bundle, "Fel enchanted warchest" gives you unlimited number of 18 slot bags on every character you ever create on the live server you buy it on, and is replicated on any PTR server you ever get access to. its 50 DP ie $16.66 dollars.

It's one of the only things I've ever bought on ascension (other than COA access, I bought BB with gold in game from a52)
They change it or is it a hidden bonus? Says it only comes with a 22 slot claimable on every character.

Turtle's problems aside I think it retains the "soul" of it well enough. Warts and all Burren Burren

IMO.

Pit lords satchel is it, you get 4 of them, can reclaim an unlimited number of times per character, and can claim on every character you ever make.

I'm sorry i was mistaken, i said it was unlimited 18 slot bags but i meant unlimited 22 slot bags

I want to go Warlock to check out the perma demon pet but I think a hybrid class is the way to go, so now debating what healer/dps class I want to fuck around with. leaning shaman but nothing easier than resto druid and you get all those forms etc.

See that's the thing. Half the time I think i'm just misunderstanding what he's asking for, but when someone repeatedly refers to tbc and wotlk features as "Retail" then I really don't fucking know wtf he's going on about? Clearly he only wants the vanilla experience, but what about Vanilla is it?

What is it that you want? Is it the 800x600 resolution? the shitty 1.12 client with dog dick UI and graphics that can run on a TI-83 calculator? Well I guess Twow except don't upgrade any graphics settings and hope they fail with their UE5 engine overhaul?

Is it shit balance that you want? 40 man raids with 25 of them being warriors, 5 paladin or shaman healers and then 1 token member of each other class for buffs? Then sorry, every private server has did their best to undo the shit design of vanilla classes so you are out of luck.

Is it the difficulty/challenge? Then Bronzebeard is your best bet its the only one offering any sort of challenge whatsoever.

But you say you don't want any of these things, so what is it that you do want? the only thing really left is the aids

I wouldn't say it was dogshit, I mean you gotta compare it to the 2004 MMO landscape. You pretty much had a few major MMO's, Everquest, FF11, DAOC, and Lineage 2. EQ2 had just dropped two weeks before WoW so it was going based off the same shit. (Classes in EQ2 were better than WoW imo).

But WoW made it to where you could actually do something you couldn't do in most mmo's and that was actually make progress solo. But yeah class balance was an absolute joke in Vanilla TBC and Wrath were perfect talent tree's.

Does Bronzebeard add any new quests or anything though? A big part of Turtle and Epoch is just having new areas with new quests to change up the experience.

Some, but outside of the new newbie areas not many, maybe 1 or 2 per zone. Quests are not really the focus.

What it does do, is add thousands of new and interesting points of interest all over the map. So while there isn't a ! Asking you to collect 12 bear nipples in addition to the 10 bear asses you've been collecting for the last 20 years, there are puzzles and interactive events scattered around the zones.

So for example you may see some weird little candle lit altars and your like "hmm is that new?" And they start to pop up more frequently amd you're like "that's definitely new" and they lead you to a hill top with some elite quillboar warlocks committing some human sacrifice thing and you see some sparkly thing you can click on so you know there's a thing up there so you ask in general chat for players help you kill these elites and find out what it is. And then you go fight them and they have some special scripted event thing you gotta do that spawns a lich and you kill it and loot your thematically appropriate lich phylactery trinket and warlock mystic enchant.

There was never a ! with quest text you dont read telling you to do it and there is no ? To give you experience and an item you immediately vendor for 4 sp but the world is filled with thousands of these things some are minor little "oh neat" and some are elaborate boss mechanic events or puzzles but they are all interesting and encourage you do enjoy the "journey" and explore the world in new ways.

I only made it to 20 in BB, so I dont have a ton of experience there. I do know that all the starting areas have a new area to explore, as well as they have the world forged loot placed in various places that you find as you explore.

For example, Mulgore has an area that's lvl 3 to 5 with an elite quest or 2 in it.

The biggest difference that I felt was the world scaling, that can be turned off if you wish. I normally finished Mulgore around lvl 11, so then I would naturally go to the Barrens. But in this case you can go to Durator and all the mobs that would be lvl 1 to 5 in the newbie area, would now be 4 lvls below you...meaning you get relevant quest exp and loot from it.

To me this means all content can stay relevant for much longer and you can feel like you are not wasting time in the overworked. Scaling in instances was something that worked in theory, but I'm not sure if the UI reflect it correctly. Like I joined a random dungeon at lvl 17 and was put in SFK with lvl 30s and 40s. My health didn't appear to scale, so I'm there with 700 hps and the tank has 2000 hps. Had I qued as a tank, I'm not sure how I would have failed. Also, if you use the MSBT add on, the numbers are not correct...it will say I'm hitting a boar for 80 dmg, but only 15 has were removed from the mob. The default combat UI is correct though, so that may just be a conflict with thst particular addon.

Dwarf Shaman or Troll Druid.
