Playing MW5 merc. No good games in a while. Meh.
I was so disappointed with Clans. Loved Mercenaries and considered that a keeper, but I played Clans on Gamepass and I didn't like it. Pretty typical for this day and age, most franchises only seem to be going downhill.

They are definitely trying to turn the Xbox app into an all-around gaming hub for Windows. That seems to be their main focus right now, making Xbox more integrated with Windows gaming in general and using it as a means to push subscription services.
Nice try, if I'm using PC I'm just going to use Steam.

Same, they don't try to nickel and dime me on services at least. Only reason I would use the Xbox app is to download games I got on it. Steam and GOG are basically all I use on PC.
Right? Steam.exe has so many great features that the XB app is lacking.

The store is completely customizable. Little things like setting controller preferences in game launch settings, setting resolution (by monitor!) in game launch settings, the steam community workshop where you can add mods in the game file automatically, easy as pie return policy, better prices, etc. Albeit, XB prices have come down a lot to compete with Steam, it's still not as smooth as Steam. Plus, Steam doesn't have any weird formatting issues needed for your SSD. On my Lenovo Legion Go, I can only save XB games to the main SSD and not an external micro sd, even after properly formatting.

If you actually have an Xbox, the MS Store version of PC games beats Steam easily for any game that supports Play Anywhere.

Only exception is very specific cases like Bethesda shit that's unplayable without mods that require a script extender.

I have an XSX and a hand full of "play anywhere" games, but I don't use that feature, tbh. If I have a game that plays on XB, I don't play it on my LeGo, for example.
