my guess is Microsoft doesn't even see the DEI shit, since its baked in everywhere there now. Its just simply math, games that aren't gonna make back their costs by selling on PS5/switch are being shut down, and they aren't even thinking about why their first party pipeline system is so fucking broken.
they've spent billions on studios and first party games for a decade now and have so very little to show for it. Neither does Sony but at least they have uncharted, spiderman, TLOU, etc as legit system sellers. Halo is cooked, no one gives a shit about Gears of War, and the few games they have put out mostly are invisible to everyone (Hellblade etc)

They made Joanna Dark (the characters actual name, oddly enough!) hella masculine with a Patrick Warburton jaw line. That's just the promotional image. The rot, I'm sure, is down to the bone. Much like how the remake for Dead Space did have better graphics and sound design, but added a bunch of modern audience nonsense to it: removed Arthur's helmet, showed his face, made the cast diverse compared to the original, and made the cast part of the rainbow mafia.
The only remakes I can think of that didn't do this were RE2-4 Remake, but even then, they toned things down a bit. Even the remaster for Modern Warfare added in women Navy Seals (which isn't a thing, btw. No woman has ever passed the entirety of Navy Seals combat training).

This is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with AAA gaming today. They clearly have far more passion for their divisive far left political virtue signaling than they do for anything related to actual gaming content or activities. I should know better but I have high hopes for Gears of War reloaded (gears 1 remake coming out in august) and Gears of war e day. I do love gears of war and recently replayed gears 1. Super fun game.
the gears e day trailer looks like it’s not made for modern audience at all, but I’ve been burned before… I do think it’s a nice touch that Microsoft gave our free copies of gears reloaded if you owned gears of war 1 remastered.
Got my free redemption code in an email a few days ago from Microsoft
