Once you guys are all gone, who the fuck is going to keep modernity running? Hopefully open sourced non-authoritarian controlled AI and robotics show up soon enough to keep things running.

Trying to find old games to replay, tried God of War but I know it back and forth so I had an idea last night - Tex Murphy!
I have them all on GOG. Fondly recall having a system 'powerful' enough to play the games with full motion video! Wow does it feel stone age now. Tiny ass screen , clunky ass controls, tiny tiny tiny text. Only one barely playable is Tesla Effect , the kickstarted game released in 2014.

The turning point for me was noticing how much longer recovery takes after a late night out, compared to my twenties. Izo's point about the little signals adding up rings true — it's rarely one dramatic moment, just a series of small realizations. Portland's pace probably softens the blow somewhat, but the math catches up regardless. Curious whether others here found it crept up gradually or hit all at once.
