You may want to look into a Android device like the NVidia Shield if you watch YouTube a lot on your TV and don't want to (or can't) run an HDMI from your PC. You can then sideload the YouTube ReVanced APK, which is supposed to be pretty good for blocking the adds. Or you could try some of the other apps on the following list:

I just use brave browser on mobile and desktop. It’s free and automatically blocks all YT ads without any additional plug ins.

I tried that new browser Opera, and it is VERY fast compared to Brave and Chrome, but it doesn’t auto block all YouTube ads so I uninstalled it.

I've said it here before, but on my TV I have a Shield, and I sideloaded SmartTube, which is constantly updating as necessary to combat YT fuckery, and is awesome. No ads, even has notifications when they do the whole "like and subscribe" or even in-video ads (like say NordVPN) where you can just press a button and skip to where that stuff ends. Very very rarely it misidentifies stuff and you see those notifications most of the video, but usually not a big deal, and if you really get annoyed by it you can turn them off.

The most you see is the first time you open the app and play a video, sometimes you can get 5 seconds or so of buffering when it is blocking shit, then any video after that plays immediately.

Highly recommend this app, 10/10. I could not stomach YT on my TV without it.

YouTube on your phone or the TV sucks.

Firefox + Ublock is fine though. However my god damn job makes me use Chrome and even using and old version of uBlock like bricks the browser now until you remove it.

That says 1 of 11. What are the other 10?
I've been looking for useful filters for a while now, though I don't know how necessary it is if the Extension gets killed completely.
