One Piece has temporarily given me hope in good Live Action remakes of manga/anime. That said, the dozens of spectacular abominations that have been made give me pause. Yu Yu Hakusho is a pretty decent 90s manga story.

Watched episode 1 last night. Not awful. Definitely feeling that 90s manga vibe. It's JP Live Action, which means they aren't going to go woke, so changes from the source material will be minimal.

No idea what the source material was but this felt rushed. It could have been better. It wasn’t bad, not One Piece. If they had a few more episodes to develop character’s and relationships, training, power levels etc. Seemed like a very very fast 5 episodes.

As someone who loved the anime, this was about as horrible as the dragonball live action movie was.

Kudo's to them for knowing with 5 episodes, they tried to mash what was probably 5-6 different arcs into that but shitty all around.
