Zero Company - Star Wars XCom

Sounds like your typical UE5 game that assumes everyone is using FSR/DLSS and framegen to get acceptable fps... except the framegen just isn't working properly. Also seems to be mainly affecting non-AMD systems, which never fails to crack me up every time it happens, after decades of listening to retards who believe that AMD is the one that 'always has issues'.

Uhh what? Maybe because I'm on an AMD system but the game is pretty and runs great for me. Loving it so far. Hawks is the sort of personality that the main character from Outlaws should have been.

Usually the easiest fix is setting fps from infinite to a different number. I had that problem in Helldivers, the video card would go nuts on some missions or during loading. Once I capped frames, it fixed it

I capped frames at like 120 or something and everything on ultra and it runs/looks fine in this game.

So, 15th gen 18 core i5, and a 5070, getting low 70's on ultra, mid 90's if I turn off environmental geometry. Can easily do 120 with DLSS but I prefer to run native.

While the game definitely needs to be optimized, I think part of the issue is UE5 causing cpu bottlenecks. I noticed a lot of the bad reviewers had older cpus, even the ones with newer cards. Aion 2 (also UE5) ran terrible on my ancient 10th gen 6 core, upgrading completely fixed the issue, just the 32gb of ddr5 bottlenecked my fucking wallet for $400. Still, glad I didn't wait longer, it's $550 now, 2 months later.

On a side note, compiling shaders spiked my cpu temp to 100, luckily it only took about 10 seconds...

Game is pretty unforgiving on hard once you get past the early missions. Clone trooper dude is great but the AP bottleneck is real with him and he is slow AF

About 9 cycles in at the earliest, varies depending on how much you focus on the main story, is what I hear.

Also there's a 12th hidden class that no one has discovered yet, or well, revealed if they have discovered it. I know some youtubers got full advance copies and have beat the game already.
