    Arizona: Phoenix Suburbs.

Thanks for all the information. I ended up getting the Phoenix job because of a few perks that Tucson didn't have. The hospital is close to downtown and so I've been looking for apartments around that area. I've found a few places in Midtown that I've liked. My girlfriend also found some places...

Thanks for the information. We currently live in OR and are very outdoorsy, so Tucson sounds at least more bearable in terms of heat. And it will only be for 3 years regardless so not a long term location for us.

Necro! I have two hospital job interviews coming up, one in Phoenix and another in Tucson. With COVID, they will be Zoom interviews and so I won't have a chance to visit the areas. I know nothing about AZ and was wondering anyone had good pros and cons of each town along with preferences they...

Marriage and the Power of Divorce

HSV-1 is actually more common to have on the genitals than HSV-2, but you are right that if you have HSV-2, you won't be coinfected by 1 because 2 flourishes better on genital mucosa. But 1 can still be transferred to the genitals if a person never had HSV.

kinda but not really reliable predictor, rusty-brown is more common in infections and heart failure and yellow-green are more viral but I've seen plenty go either way

Did they say you had a diastasis? Because that is not a hernia even though it does look like one. I saw a lot of them during my surg rotation and no surgeon would repair them even if they were impressively large. However if it is causing pain you might have a good reason to get another opinion.

    The D&D thread

Finally was able to finish my DnD screen. Hoping to make another one, but with Warhammer 40K theme.

They added pain as a vital sign in the 90's and I think now health insurance requires a pain number on medical documentation for any visit. In school, we've been required to ask each patient their pain score even though most doctors tell us it's pointless. A good provider will look at the...

Most likely the DHEA? It's the precursor to testerone. A google search and few studies show that it decrease plasma glucose in diabetics "Fasting plasma insulin and glucagon were lower with DHEA (42 ± 4.94 vs. 53 ± 6.58 pmol/l [P = 0.005] " and that was on the same 50mg dose.

Noodle a few questions! Some of them are weird, but can rule out some stuff. 1- Do you get nocturnal erections? or wake up with an erections? 2- Do you know what your last HbA1c was? 3- Any changes in medications? New meds like antacids or antifungals? 4- Any new breast changes, tenderness...

    Military Service

Oh yeah, there was actually a few vets just trying to get diagnoses so they could have service connections. That way they didn't have to work and would get income for their disabilities, even though they didn't really fit criteria for any combat related diagnoses. And then also quite a few vets...

Just finished my psych rotation at a VA hospital. The stories I heard from some of the vets about combat, I'm not surprised anymore why the suicide rate is so high. Once when you guys are state side, we do a real shitty job of helping you return to civilian life, at least what I saw during my...

Have you tried any other MS drugs before since there are quite a few? I would get a second opinion if this was the first or even second drug the doc suggested since there are multiple other drugs that could be used. However, capoxone is a very specific cocktail of protein to immunosupress MS so...
