Yeah, they've really shit the bed with all this corporate interference. I'll still buy this, but definitely not pre-order or day 1 like I originally planned. What a shame. I'll probably wait for it to go on some type of sale around Christmas. The backlog is nice and full anyways.

Tarrant is going to buy a ton of orcs off the Microshop Tuco. You won't stand a chance. His Visa is at the ready.

I'll use the money from all the beers you owe me. Lol

And no I won't spend a nickel in the store. I'm cheap af.

Claims to be cheap / frugal - buys a game promoting poor gaming industry consumer standards.

Not looking out for your [hobby's] long term interests, big guy.

I 100% the first game and not really fond of rewards being tied to (extensive) collection requirements. If there was like, 1 thing per "region" then sure, that seems fair, but when it's dozens and dozens it needs to be for its' own sake and nothing else.

I'm still not buying this until real cash loot boxes are gone, which I assume means I won't be buying this. I'll just have to be over here enjoying my dozens of other AAA games that aren't actively insulting their consumers and outright abusive.

Just wait for the 4 dollar steam sale maximum edition in 2 years.

Yep. This. The game isn't going anywhere. Plenty of other stuff to play which is in all our backlogs. Can pick up the "Here have everything edition for $3.99" in a year.

I really, really hope there is a way to know when you obliterate a MTX orc.

I was kinda considering playing this. Micro transactions aside I really hate the LOTR universe when it comes to games.

What? Your statement reads like...

"I was considering eating pizza. Cost aside, I really hate pizza when it comes to eating food."

Ok... you do you bro, lol.

I'm a little worn out on LotR too, but I found the lore/environment of the first game was enjoyable because it was so centered in a desolate shit-hole that is mordor rather than all the generic fantasy environments Tolkein's universe has.

In other words, for every game where you spend your time in a hellish landscape like Mordor there are 5 games where you spend time in some elven forest, dwarven mountain or human farmlands.

I'm afraid that SoW is going to break from that trend. I just want to be a lonely ranger that's bent on murdering or dominating every orc he sees.

Didn't you live in Michigan at one point?
