I dunno about deep learning, but for 1200 bucks it better do deep throat.

DLSS is just a advanced form of AA... it's nothing special.

But it improves frame rate at 95% of the quality when you send in your developed game for deep learning to smooth out those jaggies!

WE HAVE BEEN DUPED BY NVIDIA AGAIN? Say it isn't so.

I saw a similar article talking about the new Tomb Raider only averaging ~35 fps at 1080p too. It's the ray tracing, that shit just isn't remotely viable yet unless you are willing to take massive sacrifices in resolution and performance to get it.

But machine learning! The cloud! (Remember that sales pitch on the Xbox one?)

Turrible. Surely worth 1200.

Well, the reports are still holding up a 35%ish increase over the previous gen, which I'd normally see as being worth upgrading to people that want to, but I certainly don't think it's worth the increase in MSRP this time around. Raytracing and w/e the hell this DLSS really is just isn't worth the premium in my eyes. If MSRP had stayed the same as the 1000 series? It'd be a different story.

Metro last light at 1440 on a 1080ti 63 FPS. 1080 is 98 FPS. Tomb Raider at 1080 is 175. Guess you need to decide if the ray tracing is worth the 100% performance decrease.

So 1200 dollars to bring you from 98 FPS to....132? That's a lot of performance I will never use. Sold!

don't turn on ray tracing and you have alot less to complain about between that and this

Hell yeah. That massive visible improvement from 98 to 132 FPS. Getting hard just thinking about it.

What card do you have? 1080ti is already running 1440 stuff at 60+ .
