One interesting en
Neptulon gives you his power to fight the big squid fucker in a dungeon in Cataclysm... looks like the naga stole his weapon. Neptulon

You also work with Tits Mcgee (Therazane). Al'akir, and Ragnaros are the only ones we've fought. Elemental Lord

Thunderaan was only a "Prince" elemental. Apparently there's a shaman quest to revive him to become the new windlord (Legion).

I believe most of the elemental lords sent people to help with the fight vs the legion. The only one I can't recall was ragnaros but its been a long time since I ran that. Even the elemental lords realized if the legion burns the planet to cinders they can't enjoy playing with it any more.

I think its a new firelord, though. Ragnaros was slain IN his realm, and I think after that the druids that show up mention a new lord will rise. I believe the same thing happens with the windlord because of Thunderfury, and you have to help establish a new air dude.

It would be interesting to see if there's some water connection since we're going to Naz'jatar.

Yeah, in the shaman farseer questline in Legion, you help kill a bunch of dudes in the Firelands for a new Firelord, Smolderon. Thunderaan is still chilling as the Windlord, though.

The Legion Shaman quest line stirred up who the elemental lords were, which are basically now all allies. Rag is supposed to be "lore-dead".

Oh thats right I knew we had some stuff going on in firelands but forgot if that was for rag or not. And yes as part of shaman chain they got the backing and support of the various elementals because even beings like elementals recognized the burning legion as an existential threat.

Urgoslav Urgoslav or any shooper, can you remake this with Bernie Sanders's face on the guy with the bow and Ocasio-Cortez's face on the other one?

Ask and you shall receive.

I really hope this patch renews my interest. I think it will because they are finally reverting the ridiculous leveling changes they made in 7.3.5 so I will at least have a reason to finish off the few characters I still have left under 90. That alone should give me some incentive to keep playing, but hopefully this second tier BfA raid is not as punishing as Uldir as well. We've been progressing on Mythic G'huun and let them tell you how fun that fight is... even after the nerfs and 10 stacks of reorigination array.

It is really hard to find much interest in grinding your dick for hours against that shit. Even Heroic Ghuun was aids tuned for shit gear.

As of last month sometime, Method only had 2 kills for M Ghuun. First for the world kill, second to show they can farm it, and then they fucked right off because the loot isn't worth the trouble.

I read that many guilds that have killed M Ghuun, do it for the cheve, for all their raiders, then never go back? I'm too lazy to actualy go check raiderio on the top 10-50 guilds to verify if this is true.

Yes, it is true. Most guilds do not re-clear him weekly. His loot table really is atrocious considering how hard the fight is. About a month ago Method was streaming a raid where they were attempting him and wiped for 3 hours before finally just calling the raid. They just gave up on a boss they had on farm for months already.

Not only is it hard, but it also is one of the least fun fights I've ever participated in.

Speeding up the leveling process is a good thing. But it won't fix the scaling problem - all content is boring now. Leveling gives you no sense of progression or accomplishment. There is no danger in higher level zones and no ability to destroy everything with one swing in lower level zones. Its just an endless sea of blah.

ESO did the scaling thing before WoW, and at first I thought it was great, being able to explore anywhere, whenever I wanted. But it got boring very quickly and I quit within a week. Haven't been back since. Didn't realize what the issue was then, just knew I was bored. It took playing WoW after 7.3.5 kicked in to realize that scaling is garbage.

We killed mythic G'huun 3 times before the nerf. Would agree it wasn't really worth it. The loot is pretty bad & there is no mount, so I could understand why Method didn't farm it. After the nerf this week though it is a complete joke, one shot it with ease. I'm sure most guilds will farm it now.

Scaling is fantastic for older content. Everything stays relevant for the duration of that particular content's level range. It's a great change and I even completed loremaster as a result of it.

I've heard a lot of veteran players say they like scaling, and that may work for WoW since new players are not their target audience anymore.

But for many players scaling just plain sucks. Scaling turned WoW into the most tediously boring experience I've ever had in any MMO. That is no exaggeration. It's just an endless trudge through mindless fetchit quests where the mobs never hurt you, and you push the same 2 buttons over and over and over ad nauseam. I couldn't do it this time around, took a break from 7.3.5 and hoped BFA would fix things, that didn't happen.

It's so bad that unless it is changed in a meaningful way I will probably never play WoW again. That's no great loss for Blizzard, since I was always just a casual who dropped in every couple of years for a month or two during a new expansion. But I at least enjoyed those couple of months before moving on, leveling my toons in old content and just putzing around. But 7.3.5 took the fun factor out of leveling.

Been leveling a new dude for the heritage unlock since I am in maintenance mode on my main and have been enjoying the leveling experience. I haven't leveled a toon outside of dungeons or current content in like 10 years. It's been fun. Looking forward to some of the expansion I missed. Up to 53 now which I guess is where it starts to slow down.

I'll probably level for the transmogs with the leveling change but I'm not holding out hope for the patch to put that spark back in for me really. Both of my characters just.. aren't fun to play (except shaman is really fun in pvp cause talents) and I don't think they'll fix it anytime soon at all.

Maybe I'll roll my DH so I can exploit through dungeons for fun

I like coming across transmogs from old school expansions I didn't have yet. Putting together a complete set of the budget styles feels somewhat rewarding. I actually like a bunch of them more than the raid sets because they're not as flamboyant.

I quit BFA before I even hit max level, so I haven't done pretty much any of the content. The only thing that I even consider returning for is unlocking the new allied races. I just don't care about the game's focus on progression anymore. The silly shit like transmog and random bullshit is all that's left after giving up on that.

I personally like the scaling. It makes levelling early on very easy as you don't have to worry about what zone you need to go to. You can go anywhere and find quests to do. The XP was way off though. They are decreasing the xp requirement big time in 8.1 so that should help alot. It took me about 40 hours to get from 20-110, so I imagine after 8.1 it'll take a little under 30 hours.

I like the scaling for level up for the aforementioned reasons, but I really have grown to dislike it at max level. I hate the lack of a feeling of power at max level. Going to some of the expansion leveling zones for mining, pet battles, world quests, etc. just becomes a slog when you feel only slightly more powerful than you did in the initial questing through. Granted, raiders who increase their ilvl quickly probably don't have this issue. However, for casuals like me who generally just increase ilvl along with LFR, you don't start feeling more powerful for quite a while after hitting max level.
