From watching a bit it looks like a very heavy dps check and most of the people I saw streaming were not that good. Trying to facetank robo dogs, standing in poison etc. I leave to go out of town Sat. for the week. Bummed I won't get a chance to try it ;[
I doubt anyone I played with prior is going to jump on this since they are all married with kids. Maybe illidrama.com will come back.
Chucking people into Darkshore from the Horde Felwood flight path while I fill my bank with tubers and NDB will probably only be entertaining for a few days...
People will be soloing the raid in the first week if it's possible to do so without some gimmicking requirements that force multiple players to progress so claiming it's too difficult is bullshit.
I'm gonna jump on the train that they can't make matchmaking with 8 work properly because while...
I'd agree with you, but go hop into twitch and see all the trannies, sjw etc. that are playing and watch their viewership increase on the regular. People who never even touched magic are being exposed to it and in turn playing MTGA.
I don't think you have to worry about the paper collapse any...
When people stop pretending MTG is supposed to be competitive they would be a lot less saltier.
WOTC is going to ride the gravy train with diversity and influencers while getting rid of the neckbeard stigma and raking in all the $$$$.
Once MTGA is the de facto method of tournament play and all...
Job system was cool, but everything else pales in comparison to VI. The amount of character choices, story, side story quest lines, endings, main villain, ultros, music, graphics etc. If it was released today it would be a top rated RPG.
Agree with the above. The quantity of games a pro plays is going to keep them towards the top. It's why we are seeing non pros and random streamers hit top 10 mythic. They play 500+ games a month.
I said quality IPs not boy band simulator XV.
Plus people bought that garbage game up.
Vote with your dollars!@! (this goes for all companies)
Also FFVI was best, fight me.
Pretty much. I don't think there is a competitive event at the top end where the players aren't doing what they need to do to gain advantages since everyone is going to be pretty close to the same level skill wise. It's rampant in every sport that exists so why would MTG be different?
This is what I ended up finalizing.
I'd say my worst match up were variations of big gruul if I didn't hit all of my removal or history's early.
Control match ups were probably 50/50 purely based on whoever had the best opener.
Pretty much any small creature board loses and I think I had over...
My Orhoz list got me to diamond today. First month I've only played a handful of mono red the entire ladder and I did it in just about the same amount of games as when I go turbonerd RDW. B01 scrub of course =O
If you have basic hand tools and are moderately competent you can frame something like that for less than $30-40 with all materials for a basic frame with glass/matte. Otherwise have fun paying hundreds.
But I realize not everyone is a DIYer.
Deck matching anecdote and with the new set it's possible more variety is on the ladder, but I've been playing almost solely Orhoz and I am facing a lot of deck variety which has never been the case previously when I was full bore mono red , white or gruul. I'm actually enjoying playing ladder...
Eh I guess that depends on the area you live and your education system pay rates. He's making at least $40-50k year, gets to work from home and makes his own schedule. Seems pretty good for the artsy fartsy type even if the hourly turns out to be low at times. My gf makes less than that as a...
Just noticed this thread. My friend paints miniatures for a living and it's crazy how much people spend especially when he gets orders from outside of the US. Some dude from France had him paint a giant set of star wars figurines and spent thousands on it.
You could skip the necro pack as it really doesn't add anything other than the class and if it's your first time you have plenty of choices to play with until bored unless PC is selling the eternal edition which they weren't last time I checked.
Thought Erasure, Thought Erasure, Thought Erasure.
So boring.
Trying to make this knights deck work, but it's still a bit too slow without a perfect opening hand, but it seems to be doing well against most meta decks.
8 Swamp (RIX) 194
8 Plains (RIX) 192
4 Knight of Grace (DAR) 23
4 Knight...
Oh I'm playing on Xbox1X and even with it being enhanced it still looks like a 10 year old game on a 4K OLED TV compared to something like the Tomb Raider games or even Monster Hunter World which looks almost PC quality. I normally play everything on PC with ultra so I'm probably just being...
I finally ventured out of Chersonese after getting full master trader garb to zoom zoom around. Forgot to pack my bow and ran into a manticore in Enmerkar that I had to kite across half the zone so other NPCs would help kill it. Got a pretty nice sword from it though.
I haven't even progressed...
It went much better off without him =O
Got a big backpack, blue sand armor and just got some mana though I have no idea where/how to get spells.
Not sure what to do next other than start progressing with the main story and it was getting late so called it off before I spent another 2 hours...
I have logged in once in the last two weeks after playing every single day from launch. They better knock the PTS changes out the park or I'm going to be sad shelving this for a year or two like D1 ;[
I bought this on a whim last night on xbox. Tried local coop with a friend. He is horrible and wanted to pick fights with everything we saw so there was a lot of death, but it seemed enjoyable so far and I plan on binging quite a bit solo.
Yeah finally got one too. Plays well, but if what exists is going to be the totality of the game it'll be a pass unless it's part of prime membership or something.
I'd pay $50 a month for some modern graphics/ui, more quests and some quality of life changes in EQ with expansions up to SoL and then some new content that isn't a former expansion.
EQ still doesn't bore me for whatever reason and I enjoyed playing quite a few progression servers, but I'm done...
If you're wanting to play ranked and think you can't get through gold without a meta deck then you're probably below average considering the win rate requirements to advance. It takes around 20-25 hours at around a 54-55% win rate to hit platinum starting from bronze. Almost all the precon...
Any pile can get to mythic with enough time meta or otherwise, but barring time investment and the desire to spend you can easily get to platinum with any mono colored aggro deck. I've done it each month since the only time I really play multicolor decks is with jank barring my r/g warrior dip.
Even getting mythic is a 20ish hour a week commitment. The game variance to stay in the top 50 is going to force you to play 40+ hours a week in most cases.
Not worth it unless you're a streamer, unemployed, autist or some combo of all.
I'm averaging an hour or so a day now since RNA set...
I popped 80 packs but my enthusiasm for making new constructed decks is pretty low with my rank climb being done for the month. Will probably bust out some sealed in the meanwhile.
First time I really took a look at the cards though and I dig a lot of the art this set.
I agree their exclusives are fantastic, but 1) I'm sick of exclusivity 2) the amount of money I would spend for 5-10 games tops over the life of a console isn't worth the $1k+ I'd end up spending.
Luckily most of my friends that are PS only console people have PC for all the good multiplayer...
Doubt it will be day 1 or even within the first year. The console exclusives aren't enough of a draw any longer when there have been so many cross platform releases to satisfy me. Plus with the ease and choice of playing PC at desk or with controller and TV these days makes my consoles...
Lame. Why the hell are there even 4 difficulties if they are basically going to be easiest, easier, easy, easy+?
That ruins the fun for me more than the loot issues or anything else since you could already blow through content solo no matter the difficulty and even 4 man Heroic was only...
I will definitely be buying all of those alt art planeswalker to satisfy the weeb in me.
Watching some of the prerelease streamers and they are demonstrating some broken interactions pretty easily with this set already. Going to be pretty funny once people have a week or two to mess around.
