Even if you could buy your first level 50, it would matter absolutely zero and still not be "pay to win". Leveling to 50 is just a chore that takes like 8-12 hours and is like 0.0000001% of what you need to do in the game to get anywhere.

Amazon happened. To be fair, it's partially Smilegate's fault. But, this is what happens when you rush a patch. Amazon has to find out there's an issue, talk to Smilegate, who makes a fix and sends it back with little to no testing, because Amazon has to have it RIGHT NOW.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid. They should have had way more servers for headstart, for one. The game already has the ability to merge servers, RU did it a year ago. And there's nothing that fucks you over, like in New World.
