I do it by hand. I never like the results with a bread maker. I get a much more open texture and waaaay better crust when I do it by hand. We go through bread here like crazy. I'm baking every other day.- lurkingdirk

I recently got a loaf of wonderbread or something similar for my kids to eat. They hated it. We make all our own bread here, have been doing so for a while now. I hate spending the $4 a loaf for decent bread, and if you make it yourself, it's around $1 a loaf.- lurkingdirk
