I made mother fucking biscuits and gravy for dinner tonight. Some days you have to eat like shit. Jimmy Dean sage breakfast sausage. 7-up biscuits. Everyone is strewn across the house in various states of over-eating-induced-stupor.

    WORLD CUP 2014 - BRAZIL

Didn't see that. I'm fine with being wrong, though. Just more ammunition that this ref sucks the balls of donkeys. This is turning into some uninspiring soccer/futbol. Hulk is the only one on the field who seems to be working his ass off.

Damn. First yellow for diving in the entire tournament given to the home team in the penultimate match. And that was totally a dive. Not a clear hit. The penalty was correct, I think, and my commentators are saying the same.

    WORLD CUP 2014 - BRAZIL

The Dutch need to keep playing. They're not aggressive here, and 2 goals can happen mighty quickly. Granted, it's unlikely from this Brasil team, but the ref is helping them as much as he can.

    WORLD CUP 2014 - BRAZIL

The Dutch defense really is impressive. They haven't lost a single game during this tournament during regulation time. They defend against free kicks like bosses, and it isn't because the keeper is so stellar.

I am loving this! Go Netherlands, score 10! Might as well have fun, and the world thrives on news of riots, so might as well make them big.

Oops, sorry. Didn't follow the conversation as closely as I thought I had. I'd get some things in writing - like how often he's allowed to bring people over, and the time of day/day of week that happens, and I'd certainly find out what he'd charge if he didn't use you as a model of his work.

Take that offer. That just means he'll do a really good job on it, and periodically people will come and look at your roof.

    Gardening

Fixing clay soil for gardening is a multi-step process. What I'd do is first add a good, thick layer of sand, and work that into the clay soil well. Then I'd add peat moss. A LOT of peat moss. Many inches of peat moss. Work it deeply into the soil, and you should be good to go in the spring.

Probably the most productive death discussion was had here after our cat died. I had had the cat 17 years, the kids were incredibly attached to the cat, and so was I. I cried like a kid when that cat died. And the thing that made me cry the most was watching my 5 year old (at the time)...

I think just using a knife in general is a basic, but not well known skill. My wife never learned, and it takes her forever to take apart veg or meat or whatever. My kids are learning, but I think basic knife skills, and which knife to use when are a basic starting place.
