Should you tip the waitress and how much thread

$9.32 an hour converts to $19,386 a year. Try living in Washington on $19,386 a year. $15 an hour converts to $31,200 a year. Much more reasonable. Tipping will change if that becomes the case. In general, people in the food industry get tips. It's just that simple. If you're not okay...

Should you tip the waitress and how much thread

See, that's not an entirely fair argument. Wait staff aren't paid minimum wage, they're paid substantially less. They depend on tips. If they were paid the 15$ per hour, how I tip would be affected.

^This is entirely true. I wish everyone could work in the food service industry for six weeks as a waiter. All you folks being negative about having to tip - You'd all change your tune in a fat fucking hurry. Tipping is a fact of life in North America. Don't like it? Don't go out to eat...

I have a nice sharpener from Henkels with ceramic discs that gets a good edge going. I hone my knives every time I get them out to cook. And to the original question to me - I used the mandolin. I have a $40 jobbie that does pretty well, and has many different blades. It is a right pain in...

Yeah, I don't like the texture, and the flavour has to be paired with other things, but it's healthy and the kids like it. I made a coleslaw yesterday that even the kids liked. It was shredded cabbage and carrots with tart apples and craisins. The dressing was a wasabi and mayo and garlic...

I just took 75 kindergarten kids to a church to show them how pipe organs work. It was hilarious to watch their eyes get bigger and bigger as the pipe organ got louder and louder. So my youngest is six, and pretty much all his classmates have lost teeth, but he has not even a slight wiggle...
