The issues with Trichinosis have all but disappeared. There have been something like 11 cases in the last decade in the U.S., and those have all been from wild game. If you buy FDA approved pork, they have certain conditions they must meet, and these all but eliminate the possibility of the...

Check to see how loose the duct work is. If you push it, and there is any play, it could just be the fan movement shaking the duct against other ducts, and that'll be heard throughout the house. If it's loose, get some self tapping sheet metal screws, and anchor that sucker securely. See if...

Well, my youngest got exactly 0 breast milk. Wasn't possible. He's entirely fine, and has the strongest immune system of any of my kids. He has had the flu exactly once in his nearly six years, never had an ear infection, and generally seems fine. For what it's worth.

A tablespoon or so of plain vinegar in the water makes a huge difference in poached eggs. We poach eggs most Saturday mornings. Having become proficient in that is what made me think it a good idea to try this scrambled egg thing.

Yeah, poached I've done plenty times, and like it. The swirling the water is necessary so the eggs don't just go to the bottom of the water.

I just made the strangest "scrambled?" eggs, ever. Saw it done on a food show, thought I'd try it. Get water to a good, rolling boil. whisk your eggs, stir the boiling water so it is quickly going around the pan, pour in your eggs. Cook for about 25 seconds, use a strainer to scoop the eggs...

I made the crock pot orange chicken last night, so I can't do that. I think I'm going to do a pork and udon soup. Wanted to do it a few days ago and didn't. There is not a single water chestnut in my house, but I do like water buffalo, though.

TV and Internet can be distributed with Cat6 cable just fine. Better than fine, actually. It's a much better signal than coax. Plus, running cable is not really necessary like it used to be. You'll have point of entry, and from that spot, most things can now be done wirelessly. Television...
