Yeah, I said earlier that I was kind of doubting they could really encapsulate the power of the books into a series. And you, and the rest of the posts, are confirming this. I have not watched any of it yet, not sure I will. Edit - and there is a LOT of Chinese history written in, with the...

Read my spoiler above. Your interpretation is way, way off.

Edit - I read the series because I watched this video, which made me intrigued:

Hrm, doing a Chieftain RF build is inviting. I did inquis RF for several leagues but didn't like being squishy and having to be too close to the boss. The EA totem build is an easy bosser and decent clear speed, but I also like a one button (fire trap) RF walkathon build as well.

Yeah, after watching that video, this is def the game. And I want to play it or its clone again, but I don't want to go through the conniptions of compatibility to make it work. I put that Wizardry I remake on my wishlist in Steam, but I'll be fucked if I pay $40 for a remaster of a game I...

Damn, it may even have been Demise and/or both as well. Because Demise has that Frazetta-like art I remember.

Obligatory I Can Smell This Picture

Welp, looks like EA Ballista for yet another league for me. Got him to level 98 this league with mostly casual play, surprisingly. The one issue is that there seems to be a real damage hard-cap that you can't pass even with high investment. I mean, I can do everything up to Uber bosses, and...

This is it, pretty sure!

Thing is, I owned an Amiga, but it was well after that. I bought my first PC in 1995 so it had to be after that. It was PC, and it was bought from a website and mailed on CD. And you are right about all the unlicensed crap - that may be a problem. It wasn't ascii and it wasn't a roguelike.

I've been racking my brain trying to remember a dungeon crawling game I adored back in the early computer years, but I cannot remember for the life of me. I tried some googling and still couldn't come up with it. It kind of looked like Xlarn a bit, but with white background: You could find...

I tried to look up Shitnoculars but there were 0 matches on Google. Scrubs.

It was part of the whole series. Understanding the Dark Forest theory, is, essentially, how the humans fought back - trying to be vague and non spoilery here. There was a TON of shit on dimensional theory, I wonder how the show is going to handle all that.

I have no concept how Netflix could possibly do these books justice in a series, but I am willing to give them a chance. I suspect I will be disappointed quickly, but I will TRY to stay objective. The books weren't the most entertaining I have ever read, but I will say they were probably the...

I recently watched a vanilla playthrough of this game, and after owning it for a very long time, finally gave it a try. Very quickly dropped $90 for all the expansions and now I have close to 150 hours into it. Recently modded it to run a medieval colony. And now new expansion. Keeps on...

The best singular scene in Dune 1. That first throat clear freaks me out for some reason. You don't wanna be Sardaukar, the training death rate is >60% and you can end up as blood for the blood god like in the scene: There was some debate if those were prisoners of war or failed soldiers...

I have a question about the chest - did someone take such a classic pic and photoshp in a hairy chest, or is this guy wearing a denim vest with built-in chestless t-shirt???? Because this is the pic thread, here are 2 very gay pics of "chestless shirt" and "chestless jacket"

Well he did the same thing with Waterworld and he's still kicking after he seemed to lose his shirt on that one. The preview doesn't look half bad.

It is amazing how many of that extended list I have tried. ARPG is definitely my jam. And Diablo IV remains my only video game regret purchase in the last 10 years at least.

Man I played an autobomber for about 100 hours; did the endgame grind and farmed for my BiS item and never saw it. Not sure I can find the interest to return to the game.

I bought Satisfactory a while ago, but only my son has put time in it so far. I plan on doing Factorio first and then trying this. I put 150 hours into Dyson Sphere program, and they recently patched in some Dark Fog mechanic that makes you get attacked in waves at certain levels of tech; but...

Was the base game ever really finished? It was fun, I own it, but janky as fuck. And I wanted to play it with a friend but you needed to rent a server to do it, and that was a nope for me.

Reads title. Watches video.

Welp, level 97 and about 20 raw divines in storage. I can do T14 juiced maps but I did one with Delrium (and Wandering Path set up) and Maven witness, and could not kill the Cursed Crypt boss with about 2700 purple, 2500 yellow and 800 blue wisps. I also had an abyss that spawned some tough...

I have a top end computer and a decent internet connection and I still feel like I would get to the boss door and rubber band back to the start of the map.

I JUST watched a small youtuber play it and added it to my wishlist for future consideration.

The same way you beat everything in PoE: more damage more faster.

I'm just enjoying the BONG BONG sound of the filter going off all the time. My brain is enjoying the happy chemicals. I really am the poster child for victim of Skinner Box psychology. How I kept myself from going bankrupt from gambling I will never know, but I haven't been in a casino in a...

I won't lie, this meta farming is actually kinda fun. Then again, I don't usually follow the meta whatsoever in PoE so this is new to me. I still haven't had a valuable explosion yet, but I've had un-valuable explosions so I just need to keep at it and up my quantity/quality game a bit...

Well I decided to try some bit of farming T10s juicing as much as I can. I was only using Growing Hordes with 2 x Rusted, but I still saw more uniques drop in one map than I had ever seen before lol. I haven't hit anything good with uniques or currency, but you can definitely see the massive...

This movie was hot garbage. The only CGI that was good was the ship landing sequences either on planet or on dreadnought, and lucky they were good because it happened over and over and over again. Every scene felt claustrophobic even though they tried to make these expansive, grand...

Well I gave Halls of Torment another chance and I like it. It gets a lot better once you unlock the Wellkeeper and can start with some items. A 30% attack speed set of gloves makes the melee a LOT better. And, yeah, unlocking the additional characters also makes a big difference. I really...

Also, these poop-faces always make Bramble Valley (back in circulation after a welcome absence) a high tier map. That Harvest-based boss fight is, to my mind, the worst in the game. I beat it now no problem, but a couple of leagues ago, I think with an RF build, it ate me up for a quite a...

I swear I saw earlier in the thread that one of you buttfaces said your ingame character was ShitstainSteve. Because whoever that is is doing solo delve and every time they get a new record level the chat is hilarious. Also, PoE is asshoe - I am running Ritual to start, as I usually do, and I...

Man I am level 91 and still have only seen a single exalt and no div drops. Admittedly, I just started accessing the league, I am running the woods at the start of T11 maps now. I managed to get a well rolled Ventor's Gamble off a div stack and had to make my filter way more strict because of...

I am level 88, working through yellow maps, and I have seen one exalt and zero divine drops as yet. League is shit :P Seriously though, my luck with drops so far is garbo.

Just saw a server message of sale on all stash tabs right now. FYI.

Bullshit - that bitch was crying. Bitches love crying.

Okay, so it is not just me. I find myself a little flustered that I have no minimap while wandering around the forest.
