    No I didnt ONLY dual shields, it was a moment where my sword was disarmed so I grabbed the nearest thing which happened to be the shield of a fallen enemy. Lots of called shots and tricky rolls to pull it off. I dont think the Crusader would constantly have dual shields but would be an option...

    Whats wrong with dual-weild shields? Hasn't been done before in an MMO so its new and I have played tanks in D&D that did this to fend off enemies and bludgeon them to death with the shields. It really depends on the implementation.

    Well seeing as how the crusader can be either a paladin or warrior, it gives me hope that the Wizard and/or Ench will have 2 paths, one of those being Necromancy. *fingers crossed*

    I lumped Ench with Necro because if there is a Mage, the Mage was a lower powered Wizzy with pets, the Ench animated objects to get its crappy pet, the Nec animated the dead. The ench had KEI for mana regen, the Necro had Lich form, so there are similarities. Oh the Ench could charm anything...

    Well the DK doesnt seem to really do this, so can't say for sure, but if they are going back to D&D roots, there never was a "Necrmancer" class, you just played a Wizard who specialized in the Necromancy school.

    Actually I was hoping they would use VG as their template for class design as EQ while all classes had their Identity, they weren't all needed. Being a Necro didn't get you invited to raids except to play mana-battery and help recover corpses when shit hit the fan. That there is terrible design.

    Exactly, Brad has said that he would be looking to EQ and VG when it came to the class design. As of now hes covered all the classes EQ had at launch except the Necro, Mage and Warrior. I would feel less worried if those 3 classes were added to the list of stretch goals with the Monk, Bard, etc...

    Well you can by simlpy remaking the spells, abilities, ai etc work as it did in EQ. But at that point its not a design mistake, but rather it would be "working as intended." Plus you also just end up with a carbon copy of EQ...

    I think monk/disc FD success should work based on the MOBS Wis score. However spell induced FD like necro/sk should work based on a MOBS ability to detect magic or a resistance of some sort.

    Pretty much out with the old, in with the new... Kinda scared about that though cause lets face it, we all know what SOE did to EQ and VG. IF this happens with Pantheon, you can bet it will be FTP with micro-transcations, etc....
