I've played it a little while and the tutorial and first few missions I was doing solo. You just get slotted with "bots" that sure suck, but not entirely useless. Not sure if that's because it couldn't find anyone to play with, or some other setting though.

After watching the above video about it being underwhelming it looks to me like they played it safe. They did nothing great, and nothing really bad, but just not fun and boring. I really love coop shooters that aren't PvP, so I'll for sure give it a try and I hope they made some changes.

That's a bummer because implementing WoW's system in FFXIV would be huge. It becomes not only a Glamour system but a collectors game. So I can collect all the looks even though I never plan to wear or use any of them. Gotta have them all!
