We wouldn't really see that aspect of Dawes till the next season TBH. We can only hope they were able to convince Jared Harris to come back and play Dawes again.

    The Expanse

If you keep watching it, a lot more things will happen that will be elided from the books. There are only a couple scenes with the mormons that explain why they're building the largest spaceship ever built. There's only a couple scenes that explain why belter creole is a complete mishmash and...

    The Expanse

I like the show and I defended it by telling you that it doesn't work for you after five episodes, you probably shouldn't bother with it. That's because the show does a GREAT job at least trying to stay consistent with the novels, where the belters represent dozens of cultures from areas spread...

    The Expanse

I wouldn't bother if you're not sold by the fifth episode. Although the ideas and the surrounding narrative gets a lot more interesting, the characters and their motivations will just irritate you more and more.

    Frostpunk

That's a big part of the game. You don't want to skimp on the exploration stuff, in fact focusing on it and having multiple teams out is a very effective way to get resources/automatons/population early.

The other scenarios were great and expanded on the story. The Winterhome dlc scenarios were great too and survival mode absolutely made it more replayable. Haven't gone back to try the endless mode though.

If you dislike Holden's actor now----and I'm no fan----it's just gonna get worse considering where the show is going. He COULD pull it off I think, but he needs to be more confident and mature. Mostly a LOT more mature.

I wish there had been more progress on a Stellaris mod that was based on the early expansion in the solar system. It replaced the galaxy with a solar system map and focused on a period a century or so before the Expanse. But I can't even find it now. There are tons of excellent Stellaris TC's...

Nah it was the mexican dude that was Holden's partner in Ceres. He ended up working in Murtry's team in the book and a lot of the orbit shenanigans involved him. They cut that stuff out a LOT, including his whole part in it. They just tightened it all up down to the shuttle attack.

    The Expanse

When I hear "another TWD", I hear the complaint about FILLER episodes full of cunty people whining about their feelings. Expanse don't have enough episodes per season to do that.

LOL u got to the part with space zombies and rightly assumed the whole thing would be space zombies. Sadly, they're about as big a part of the show as the space mormons.

    The Expanse

The show was actually better than the book for this season hah. They left out a lot of the space walking shenanigans and Miller’s old buddy from Ceres. The surface stuff was excellent but they should’ve found a way to include Fayez’ commentary on how the planet was creepy because it was...

Might be any causality-violating thing, which FTL technically would violate. The "blackout" effect of lost consciousness as the effect of their countermeasure fits in that sense---they'd create a "causal voidzone" instead of violating it.

    The Expanse

I mean, sure, that's a possibility. But it would feel cheesy and a disservice to the character to be used that way. The sendoff at the end of that character's arc wasn't just for the role, but also as a sendoff to the "training wheels" humanity has been given with so far. There was a line in...

I've been on the same playthrough since the game released early in the summer... cycle 1400 or so now and I may have a shot at long-term survival with this one. In all prior builds I would run out of dirt early lategame and it would slow down rocket research and it happened to this game...

To optimize cooling liquids with an AETN you need to split the incoming liquid into 4 pipes and let it come into the AETN volume in the smallest rate you can manage. That's because the liquid has waaaay more mass than the gas in the AETN volume (even if you max it out) and running 10kg streams...

If you have any cold biomes you should have a decent chance of having an AETN in there. My current barren/large boulders/salt main base has 3 that I'm exploiting so far. If you don't have any, you need to look at digging down to the lava layer and building some hydrothermal energy setups soon...

The thing with oxyferns is that they're essentially net free oxidization if they're in the wild,. But once they cultivated in a planter or a farm tile, the dupe labor and the dirt for fertilizer fall behind once you get more than 5 population. In my verdante colony i dug out an island of dirt...

If you don't want to fuck with slicksters to turn co2 into crude oil, you can use co2 to produce DIRT via scrubber->vaporization or scrubber->sieve->compost. Dirt gets pretty scarce late-game on some maps.
