They designed it for people to use Jobs in group/raid situations. When soloing or doing whatever, the added flexibility of the shared class abilities wins out. In a group situation when your role is more focused, having access to abilities like Protect and self heals are less important.

Bard used to be more support before the final beta - their secondary class was conjurer instead of PUG. People complained wanting to be more of a DPS class so they switched - but they didn't switch over their Limit Break for whatever reason.

DL Gear for their alt classes maybe. I've never had an issue finding a CM run that didn't require having a relic weapon. Relic isn't going to speed up the run much unless your a dps.

It's obvious they put a limit on how many slots one dungeon can take up on the Instance Servers, to prevent a single dungeon from taking up all or the majority of the available slots. Amdapor Keep should have more slots available to it than say Brayflox's, but maybe they need to adjust it more...

Corsair was a luck based buff/ranged dps class in FFXI - and since they made Bards DPS instead of support in this game it would really make sense for Corsair to be a support class.

Musketeer would make perfect sense as a ranged tank - shotgun blasts and lots of bayonet badassery. They have already said that the gun class is the next base class in development so if you want a new tank that's where it will have to come from in the short term.

DL is a huge upgrade over AK armor - not the jewelry but that's because spell/skill speed sucks.
