GW2 also had multiple multiple hour long downtimes for some servers in the first 2 days. This is a networking issue, there is nothing wrong with the game itself.

Also most the people have gotten their EA code by now, so it's probably butter smooth. The e-mail I got from them was post dated 3 minutes after I entered my code, but I didn't get it until 24 hours later. Their mail queue must have been huge.

No one gets their CE items until the 27th, after you enter your game code. Or if you are legacy and already have game code entered.

Do you guys not read the instructions from the emails you are getting? It says exactly what websites to go to enter the first code and then you get a page with a link to login and enter your second code.

Yeah you can still pre-order. Amazon you get $10 credit (think it ended up being $21ish for me total if you take into account the credit) and you get the codes instantly. Can't speak for GMG, it's probably a little cheaper but less reliable.

My 3102 error finally got fixed, but the guy I was grouped with in Bowl of Embers is still in my group offline and I can't leave/disband. Oh well can level some of my subclasses. A lot of them do, the main story ones at least.

Actually, there is MUCH more communication with this game than with FFXI. I don't think they even had forums for JP players, but I know NA players had no way to communicate with Square Enix if there were issues or feedback. So they are doing a better job, but not much of one. At least there...

They aren't going to wipe the servers because of a networking/datacenter issue.

The WoW open beta was pretty smooth. But the hype went into over drive for launch and they were totally unprepared. My first server choice, Archimonde, I never could login to play after the first day because the queue was like 10-15 hours long.

I think that's the issue here. For whatever reason, characters are not being logged out of the servers. Anyone that logs out can't log back in (Error 3102). If you zone into an instance you get Error 90000 and then Error 3102 trying to log back in. The servers right now are full of characters...
