I played for about 3 hours this morning before work on Excalibur, no issues. The lobby server may be down but the servers themselves are up.

A lot more quests are opened as you do the main story quest.

I'm pretty sure the lobby server instability is caused by all us impatient fucks using scripts and flooding it with login attempts.

If you read their posts, they have been testing it all weekend. Them moving forward Wednesday was with the caveat that the testing went well, so they must feel pretty confident.

You had to stay online to sell, just like most Asian MMOs. I never used that feature though, much preferred selling on Auction House. They had an optional Auto logout thing in the settings for in case you fell asleep or something though.

Pretty good but I've only got the first Scholar spell so far. It's a combo heal+damage ward - if the heal crits the ward portion doubles. I think at 35 you get a group version of the same spell.

The pet isn't that strong - it's mainly good for mitigating/healing damage done to your DPS group members. It definitely can't near keep up heals on the tank during bosses or large pulls, and that's just from experience in Haukke Manor.
