    In my opinion Transylvania is better than Egypt but worse than Solomon's Island in terms of immersion/lore/story/environment. I really liked some of the characters in Transylvania whereas none of the ones in Egypt were very interesting. I liked the whole Callisto/Mara/Vlad background stories.

    EQ (and VG for the same reason) was a great game to PvP in purely because it had no instances. Instancing ruins world PvP. Fighting over PvE objectives is where it's at.

    I agree but as time goes we tend to forget the things that were absolutely fucked about EQ2 PvP as well, like chasing people around clouds/spires/zonelines, how some classes were ridiculously OP and others compared to others (I played a bruiser so no sour grapes here), evac in pvp..

    My favourite games to PvP in were mostly PvE games, fighting other players over PvE resources. Fighting in dungeons in Vanguard, fighting over raid bosses in EQ.

    Hard to say for sure one way or the other. If this had been the first content patch then they would have retained a lot more players probably, and with better retention they wouldn't have dumped 3/4 of their devs, and with more devs they would have been able to roll out content more quickly...
