I played a mage in vanilla and it was fine. After.. I don't know, ten levels? I didn't have any trouble with mobs anymore. You do spend a fuckton of time running backwards, but things die quickly. I need to try it with some mods, I guess.

I remember reading an interview with Chris Pine where he said that the "Kirkness", at least as far as mannerisms, was way toned down in the second film. I really hadn't thought about the Spock love situation with the new timeline in mind, but that is an interesting way to think about it.

There are no quotations around the name in the magazine. It's got a 7 page article about the movie and references him as Harrison a few times. That being said, it is entirely possible, and likely, that there will be some third-act "reveal" that his name is really Kahn. Article also mentions more...

This game was one of my reasons for re-purchasing a PS3. It and Ni No Kuni sealed the deal. There's a few new articles up about it today, but I think most say what the video above do.

The art in this game is by a studio famous for children's movies... So I seriously doubt you're going to get "less pussy versions" of any monster.

Well after flipping through the pages of the in-game Wizard's Companion so much I really fucking wish I would have given up the cash to get the actual physical copy.

I didn't have any trouble buying a copy, but the horror stories from the wizard's edition made me happy I didn't bother with any of it. Love the game so far, but I haven't gotten a lot of time to play.

I guess this would be a better question: did anybody get charged twice after dealing with that clusterfuck of a pre-order from the company? Friend called seven times before they agreed to ship, and then they charged her for two games.

I read someplace once that the network refused to allow a lot of stuff happen on screen. There were supposed to be some same-sex couples and things like that, but the network refused to allow it. It's possible that TNG wasn't initially as PC as it ended up being.

To be totally honest, I fucking hate all Final Fantasy games past 10. I think I only like the earlier ones because of nostalgia, but goddamn the characters and "action RPG" stuff in the newer ones drives me insane. I thought 13 looked cool, picked it up and played it for about two days before...

I have always assumed it is a sort of throw-back or something. Maybe all the directors feel like they've got to put it in their movie as a sort of inside joke. Or maybe the sound guys are just really unoriginal.

I actually watched the first two episodes last night because I have never seen TOS. It isn't as bad as I thought it would be, honestly, but it certainly isn't exciting.

There isn't any need to wait and listen for it. It's really apparent and, honestly, out-of-place. My wife was like, "Why did that goblin scream like a human?"

I wasn't a fan of the HFR at all until the first real action scenes started to play out. I really fucking love the way the action looked, but otherwise I found myself distracted quite a lot by how fake most of the scenes looked. I think that HFR might be much better suited to a darker movie...
