The battles are still fighting game-esque, but there is also RPG elements such as the aforementioned quests, gathering, cooking, skill progression, etc. I'm enjoying it for what it is. I've never really played any fighting games but I like the combat.

I really enjoyed it from beginning to end, mostly because I loved the characters in this one so much. It kind of reminded me of The Big Lebowski, where not a whole lot actually happened but I still loved it due to the acting, protagonists, and dialogue. Plot is so pre-modern, man.

Yeah, for me, that Astartes series is the best 40k interpretation so far. The animation, choreography, and layout of the scenes are all perfect. The marines move so quickly but also fluidly...the Ultramines movie was the opposite of that. So clunky!

For a tv show the action choreography really is top notch, even beating out some movies. Hopefully the cancellation won't deter other studios from trying shit like this.
