I'm not doubting your ability to put the right parts on. I'm doubting their story. If they're so sure it will pass smog after installing the correct pipes, why don't they do it? I would think it would increase the value of the car more than the labor to perform the procedure. And what if they're...

I saw this movie for the second time. The first time I was on vacation and the inlaws had some free passes so we went. Problem was, the seats were front row and you all know what that's like.

You did it exactly right. But just for drill... When I set a toilet I use new flange bolts, not the old cut off ones. New bolts will come with those plastic snap on washers that will hold the bolts perfectly straight. The new wax ring is pressed firmly to the bottom of the toilet that is laying...

When I would do stone or tile floors in a WC I would get matching siliconized grout and caulk around the toilet and tub if there was one. It made the job look "finished."

I don’t like them. When you set a toilet you need to feel the wax hit the floor before the toilet does. You don’t get that feedback with those rubber rings. Also, when you caulk around the toilet leave the back undone so that if you develop a leak, you will see water before it becomes a big deal.

PVC is fine for under the sink. Two P traps is a little odd, but if it's working and not leaking, leave it alone. The dishwasher drain needs to be addressed. Code used to be that you needed an air gap in that line to keep it from siphoning back into the dishwasher. Today, however, most places...

If those don't, there are others that will. Some come with both mounting methods. Worst case scenario is you use a couple dabs, not a lot, of adhesive like liquid nails or even clear silicon and glue them up. They're very light and since they're LEDs, they will last a long time.

    The Video Thread

When my daughter was in elementary school, the battle back then was because of D'Nealian Handwriting. Not nearly as dumb as that New Math video shit, I still believe the real reason for introducing it to kids was to drive a wedge between children and their parents. There was an argument every...
