The combat really isn't hard anyway, so I don't think there's any need to avoid leveling, plus you get more fun abilities as you level. I'm looking forward to what they do with DLC.

How do you guys keep your picks from moving around in your hand so much? Will a block letter 5150 help with that somehow? I notice it most when I'm strumming hard on my acoustic, but I get a little bit of it at all times.

This is pretty much exactly what I wanted in a second guitar though. It's a lot of guitar for $500. Some obvious cost-cutting in places (satin finish, no binding, no pickguard) but it's got it where it counts. The pickups sound killer.

It gets harder to an extent, but it's never a super hard game until you get into cosmics. Even those aren't hard with the right character/gear/build. Seeing how far you can get in Xdef is fun though.

The block letter 5150 they had was white, not black. So I refused to buy it. (seriously though, they're a lot nicer than last year's version, in build quality and sound. Plus they got rid of those ugly ass pickup covers)

Did we? Maybe I misread your post. I hope they improve build diversity though. The game is hard enough (assuming you're actually trying anything mildly challenging) that you really can't afford to make many sub-optimal build choices.
