State of Decay (Xbox 360, PC)

Breakdown lets you do a sandbox mode that is a good bit harder and doesn't have a storyline behind it. It's just seeing how long you can survive.

Wow, got my JamUp plug today and downloaded the app. This thing kicks ass. I think it even has a metronome.

If I were to play this, I'd totally go Alb, because Friar is my favorite class in any MMO ever. I KICK ASS, FOR THE LORD!

It's a fine game on its own merits. It's just up to you whether you can get past the consolitis or not.

Do you do that when you do string changes? My LP has an ebony fretboard and I hadn't heard that they're susceptible to cracking.

Would Gaige Think Cathan's Step Daughter is Hot?

Mostly I just can't stand people like Gaige and Sam that pretend they're somehow more enlightened than everybody else because they like diddling kiddies.

That means you're just barely a pedo.

Should've said "Brazilian dick fire" instead of "tire fire", but otherwise I agree with the sentiment.

Yeah, no downtuning for me. I might fiddle around with stuff like open D or such for slide, but that'd be it. Also, I grabbed that Positive Grid JamUp plug from Amazon to mess around with; Amazon suggested a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter to buy with it. Is that something I actually NEED to use it? I...

Interesting, I might look into some for my LP. I do okay changing strings but, like most people, should do it more often than I do. Also, lol at the nut in that series of pictures. Does Dave Navarro use tiny strings or something? I have 10s on the LP now but I might go up to 11s or 12s. I'm...

Well, if you want to play electric guitar, I would advise you to get one ASAP. Plink around a bit on the Johnson, learn a few chords, and then as long as you don't absolutely HATE playing, spend a little bit on a starter electric guitar and amp. An electric guitar is a better starting point in...

They're both well worth the sale prices IMO. Just Cause 2 is a very fun mayhem simulator with a huge open world, and Civ 5 is pretty decent if you like the Civ formula.

Well, I'll be honest with you. Johnsons are cheap pieces of junk. You'll outgrow it very fast if you end up liking guitar enough to stick with. It's still a start though, and the important part is to stop talking about playing and actually play. Plus the folks in this thread will help you...

Yeah, I was looking at that. I wonder how usable it'd be on an iPhone though, since I don't have an iPad. Also, you can't plug headphones into a metronome. Smartass!

Get one and test it out for us. I'd be interested in something like that for recording, since I don't really think I'm going to be very effects heavy once I play live. It'd be a toy for at home.

I did that through Amplitube, it's just me over a backing track using one of their amp models. My actual amp is a Peavey Delta Blues that sounds really good, but I don't have a good way to mic it up yet.

I love P90s. I like playing big chords, and humbuckers get too muddy with those, at least in my experience; but Strat-style single coils are too twangy with single notes. P90s occupy a sweet middle ground that's perfect for what I want to play, I think.
