I think the shitty budget must be the main reason that they didn't follow the original story in really any way whatsoever. I thought the show was hugely miscast in many respects, the only similarities between the comic characters and the TV ones were their names.

Didn't someone say they made Daredevil to be like a 13 hour movie? It's not that great of an idea because the plot moves too slowly because of it but I'm still enjoying it either way, I feel it's got a tint of a Marvel Max title about it.
