Anyone have a good beginner guide to link to for this one. Never played any of the Total War series. I'm playing the Eye of the Vortex as Elves. Is it like Civ where I'm meant to start out by grabbing a few of these cities then build them up? Or constantly expand?

Haha I'm in the same phase... build and prime! I did do a quick Blood Angel and base him. I started a Death Guard, and primed a bunch of other Death Guard plus 5 Space Marine Hellblasters. Next up is an Imperial Fist. I'm excited to try them.

That's definitely true. I did that with the NMM swords and I feel like I got much better at them after just trying it based on a video.

Ok this seems right to me. PC walking down the path, 4 goblins hidden. All in the combat tracker. I have the party roll for surprise or initiative or whichever, then play out the combat.

Yeah I paint in sub assemblies. It's actually way easier that way a lot of times. The guy I'm painting now isn't glued yet. I just stuck the pieces on with putty to take a picture =p

Making progress on this guy. I can see how it takes forever to get a model done if you do more advanced techniques. Takes a while to do highlighting, blending, all the small details. Still quite a bit more to do but he's looking good so far.

Yah airbrushed the whole thing in blue and then painted on the other colors. The gold I use is really good, it's just very rich and smooth. I didn't have to do much to get it to pop like that. Red maybe took a second coat I think but wasn't too tough either. For his eyes I did white...

Just a very quick update on the Aggressor. He's only just base coated and lots to do still. Clean up, highlights, all the rest. We'll see how far I go with him. I have a lot more coming lol. I'm so happy with the airbrush. I base coated the whole figure in the blue and it looks so smooth.

Yeah same for me, I suck at edge highlighting. I'm using it to practice. I'm not going to kill myself to get it perfect but hoping to get a little better at it over time. I think if I just do a little at a time and have a couple of things going, I can slowly get one done decently well hah...
