Watching SingSing lose 4/5 games today gives me hope that my streak will end soonish. If he can't carry games solo, I sure as hell shouldn't be able to either regardless of how well I do... Just frustrating to go 0-8 solo the last couple days.

Why do you solo queue? Tons o' people in the channel are 3500-4200, and its much more rewarding to play with other people you know. I remember you like to random all the time too.. That could be another issue you're running into.

They JUST added Ranked Matchmaking in Dota2 as well like two days ago , so you just need to play your 150 games to unlock it (about the time it'll take you to get competent enough to actually compete)... And you won't be behind any "curve" at all.

Reth and I won a game tonight and my rating went down... I did shitty in the match and the system knew it. There is much more to it than just wins and losses.

Lots of people have lost games and done well within that game... and actually had their mmr go up too... just focus on your game and do your best. If youre matched with shitters, the game expects you to lose anyhow.

I almost always go Orchid on him (her?) after the initial Blink Dagger. Gives you a ton of silence on a single target and the extra damage is really nice for pickoffs.

Best of 5's are too long imo. I can barely stay interested for 5 straight matches of my OWN, let alone watching someone else play them. It takes like 6-7 hours to complete a set like that. BO3 is the way to go.

Disagree completely, I learn nothing at all from getting stomped... Close games with even skill on the people playing each hero in the lane is where I improve the most. The problem I run into is, i've learned a few heroes in each role that I'm competent at, and my MMR adjusts to the level...

Even now that I've unlocked the rpgs, it still takes 3-4 to bring down a tank...meanwhile they kill me in one shell or lmg burst. Dunno, not having much success.
