They have been working on improving FPS towards the end of beta. Its gotten better MUCH better then it was but it remains to be seen on launch how far they have truly improved FPS. Most people agree the FPS problems are the game needing optimization not bad hardware.

Esper was my second choice after Engineer but my Engineer just solo's so much better then any other class I played that I couldn't go anywhere else. It use to be Engineer was the 2nd to least played class (only ahead of Esper) but it looks like it may be the favorite now in a few polls.
