yeah later seasons are hit or miss, but not like Simpsons where entire seasons are trash. seasons 10-15 definitely have episodes worthy of being ranked in their greatest episodes lists. Charlie Work from Season 10 is my #1 favorite episode of the series for instance.

Very good decision. Standard is a hard format to get into and keep up with. Hard for new players to get established in depending on the meta, and hard for older players to keep up with if they stop playing for even 3-6 months or whatever. The deeper card pool will help both these issues.
