    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Diablo Immortal is made (by and) for the asian market, with squeezing some money from the west as an aftertought. Diablo IV is made for the western audiences primarily. They know if it fails here, it fails, period.

As a regular reminder. In "commie Europe land", where you have the choice between a minimum of 4 major ISP in ANY location, and half a dozen of local providers... You get €49.95 (52.5$) per month, ALL taxes included, for fiber, 1Gb down/100Mb up. The cheap version is €34.95 (although it might...

That's the usual problem with litrpg, and notably with webseries: too many authors don't have a specific story arc to tell, and so they fill it with stuff. There's a good summary on reddit (I know, I know) of completed LitRPG series, and unsurprisingly, complete RR series (like from where...

Although he probably could, it would instantly mean the end of the military contracts. He gets those launches (like the NROL last week) because SpaceX is owned by Americans and headquartered in the States. Presumably the NASA ones too, at least beyond the current contracts.

Furor's 14 Days rant & First Look at WoW

That's the problem with modern raid design, notably at the high end. If you allow for your mechanics to be resisted, it becomes very, very hard to tune the higher difficulty levels. Imagine every recent Mythic raid, where any of the raiders would have a chance of resisting one of the mechanics...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

I wouldn't doubt they have some kind of Void Lord expansion, but I severely doubt it's intended to be an endgame of any kind. At best, it's an endgame the way Legion was an endgame. There must always be a Lich K... Big Bad.

Having the MC get a girlfriend, only for her to be killed (almost immediately) by a bad guy to provide some revenge plot. The original movie that gave the name to the trope was the hero finding her stuffed into his fridge.

It took its time on RR finding the right style. Brink did switch from a pure litrpg to a cultivation/litrpg hybrid after a few chapters. I dropped the series when he did a fridging. That's a mostly unforgivable sin in narration nowadays.

The lottery system is: 5 days to bid on plots Roll occurs 4 days to come back to the plot to check if you won, and claim it (or recover your money) Loops back So, in theory, you'd have 4 days until the next batch (including the unclaimed ones) goes back on sale... except they're extending that...

Hard to justify? To whom? None of these committee members are ever called to account for how they spend money. I mean, they can always claim that they're spending it on their own states, which mollifies their own voter base, no matter how much they swindle the other states for it.

Unfortunately, the commitee overseeing NASA (and proposing the budget) is entirely bipartisan on the matter of pork. They all love it, and care for nothing else. What feature(s) or circumstance would persuade you to install a brain implant?

That's slightly different. What we were discussing seems mostly about using brain implants to augment stuff. Things like artificial retinas, anti-epilepsy systems, or memory enhancers against Alzheimer/dementia are an entirely different category. And usually pretty much a "hell yeah" thing...
