Assassin's Creed Origins set in Egypt

The eagle is an interesting add-on (granted, I don't do many modern shooters, so I'm not tired of drones), and the changes to the combat mechanics may have potential, and it's nice to see them going back to a pre-gunpowder time period. Eh, I'm at least intrigued; we'll see if it works out.

They also have to not cancel the fucking games six months after E3.

    E3 2017

Isn't EA supposed to have like half-a-dozen Star Wars games in development? Are none of the other ones in a showable state? Really would've helped flesh out their conference if they had that one Amy Hennig is supposed to be working on.

    E3 2017

yeah, just got around to watching it, and unless you're really into the Feefer, there's not much there.

    E3 2017

Don't know if this'll actually be at E3, but apparently they're bringing Bubsy the fucking Bobcat back. Guess that means we can look forward to Vectorman and Clay Fighters showing up next year.

    E3 2017

By the by, spotted on Neogaf that this is a photoshop using something off of Deviantart. Still think we're probably going to see Starfield at E3, but it isn't going to be that.

    E3 2017

Okay, having read the stuff on 4chan, it's all such fanfic-y bullshit, there's essentially zero chance that the leak's legit.

    E3 2017

I sincerely hope (and expect) that leak is bullshit. The idea of needing to narratively link Elder Scrolls and Fallout is so stupid I can barely deal with it.

    E3 2017

Starfield being a thing at this E3 isn't a surprise—hell, I called earlier that one of Bethesda's new IPs would show up—it having 'the Elder Scrolls' as a header, however, that's a little baffling.

Apparently Devolver Digital is also going to be having a press conference at 10pm on the 11th. After some quick research to figure out who the fuck Devolver Digital is, it sounds like they're an indie games publisher, so I'm guessing that's what the event is going to be. Guess I'll add them to...

    Wonder Woman (2017)

After having seen it, yeah, Marvel tier 2 is a fair descriptor of this; I might even be inclined to call it tier 1.5, if you will. Not *quite* at the level of Marvel's best, but an incredibly good movie. Now, please let this be the start of a trend for DC; if they can start consistently...

    Wonder Woman (2017)

Tier 2? I'll take tier 2. Hell, at this point, DC ought to print that on the blu-ray box: "it's no Marvel tier 1, but it manages to be about a tier 2."

    E3 2017

I'm in the mood for a little baseless speculation. So, aside from the things we all know are going to be there (Scorpio, Spider-man, Assassin's Creed, etc.), here's some stuff I predict we might see: Bethesda has said they have a couple new IPs they've been working on, both of which will see...

    What did you just read?

Dark and fairly weird, but this was definitely an interesting read. Seems like he left it open enough to do a sequel, which I would be down for; the magic system was left remarkably vague, considering that the main character is a magic user, and I love to get a better sense of how the magic...

    Red Dead Redemption 2

A delay is fine, I just want to see some fucking footage. Maybe we'll get a trailer at E3.

    Justice League (2017)

Saw that somewhere else; sure caused a wild swing in reaction. "Zach Snyder's leaving Justice League..." Awesome, maybe this'll actually turn out better than Batman vs.— "...because his daughter killed herself" ...God damn it.

    Witcher 3

Yeah, if it isn't Geralt or Ciri, then I'd want them to approach the Witcher World from a non-witcher angle. Playing a sorcerer would be cool, and should feel very different from Geralt, both in mechanics and content.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017)

Well, it's hard to imagine a King Arthur movie that had less to do with Arthurian legend than this one, but if you're looking for a fun stupid fantasy-action movie, this one's worth the ticket price. That final battle was stylish as fuck.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

Wasn't quite as good as the first one, but still a really good movie. As has been said, the music wasn't quite as good (although fighting extradimensional monsters to Mr Blue Sky gets the nod of approval from me), and Ego's motives were a little too fuzzy, causing him to fall short as a villain...

The Big Bad Console Thread - Sway your Station with an Xboner !

Eh, I really liked the Darksiders games back in the day (1 more than 2, but still). Wasn't expecting this to show up, but I'll take it.

Aaaaannd it's funded. That didn't take long. Wonder what they'll come out with for stretch goals.

    Ashes of Creation

It's amazing what a difference coming to Kickstarter with game footage versus a bunch of napkins with ideas scribbled on them can make.
  24. Randin

    Ashes of Creation

From the discussion I've seen elsewhere, it sounds like they've already got traditional funding, and they're using Kickstarter to maybe develop some additional features, or as a bit of a financial safety net, or something along those lines.

    Ashes of Creation

Another video talking about their node system, this time focusing on how housing works, and a bit on the different kinds of cities. This game's got some good system ideas, hopefully it comes together. I'd love a reason to be excited for an MMO again.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return

Watched the first episode, and yeah, it took a little bit to hit its stride, but they had me sold on it by the Kaiju Rap. Hearing Gypsy speak like a normal person was weird, and I kinda wish they'd gotten someone with a deeper voice for Tom, but aside from that, I'm liking the cast so far.

    Total War: Warhammer

In battle? Well, the Empire's sort of designed to be used as a balanced, combined-arms army—use a bit of everything all working together. Bretonnia, on the other hand, is all about the heavy cavalry; their foot troops don't compare with other factions' (I mean, they're better than goblins...)...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Finally finished the game, and on the whole, fuck it was good. I play a lot of open world games, and this is damn near the top of the pile, maybe even the best one I've played. Sure, dungeons could've been more substantial, and could've had more aesthetic diversity, and the Rito quest arc...

    The Mummy (2017)

You guys weren't kidding about Paint it Black, they played the opening of that song five times by my count. Aside from that, looks like a decent mindless popcorn movie; I'll probably end up seeing it.

    Total War: Warhammer

In the basic Game 2 campaign, it'll just be those four races on the new map. A couple weeks after launch, they'll make available a new Grand Campaign with the maps from both games combined into one, with all the playable races on it. Of course, you'll need to have both games to use that one.
  31. Randin

    Total War: Warhammer

Yeah, assuming that race 4 is Skaven (which is almost certainly is, but I'll admit the small possibility that the rat was a red herring), my bet would be on Skrolk. My personal bet is that the Skaven in Game 2 will basically just be Clan Pestilens, with the "main" Skaven faction based out of...

    Total War: Warhammer

Yep, Warhammer 2 just got announced The New World, with High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, and a hint towards Skaven. Played Lizards in tabletop back in the day, so I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Sometimes you're supposed to stealth past them, sometimes you're supposed to take them out. When you come to some that you can't easily stealth past, look around for something metal you can whip at them with Magensis.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Oh yeah, I don't want to spoil it for you, in case you want the whole exploration element, but I feel I should mention this much, just so you aren't wasting a ton of time chasing a red herring. The red dragon is a weird one, in that—to the best of my knowledge—it never goes anywhere near its...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

For the different springs, there are side quests tied to each one—generally an NPC saying, "the Spring of X is near by, you should go see it"—so if you just make sure to talk to people at the towns and stables, you'll eventually get pointed in the right direction.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

On my way to doing the Zora Beast last night, I ended up taking down the lynel while getting the arrows (first dungeon I did, so still had relatively low-level gear and health). Took at least a half-dozen deaths, most of my weapons, and just about all the food I had on-hand, but I did it. That...
