It's tedious on PC too. It got better when I realized I'd never run out of money and stopped trying to horde n' sell. Managing party inventory is especially haggard.

There's more loading/transition screens in BG3 if you count the amount of saving/reloading I did to sample all the different outcomes in every conversation :D

Went through a 130,000 credit shopping spree to upgrade the ship last night. I ditched all the cargo and extraneous components and condensed it as much as I could. Then stripped the weapons and put as many particle beam weapons as I could on it. Got Barret on deck (I have no idea if his skills...

So I picked an ice dragon because I thought it looked the coolest (and he might be the best looking character I've ever played in an RPG). this conferred an incredible resistance to cold. I don't know if I took a single point of cold damage the entire game. It was just a wall of fire.

I'm on team #gitgud here too. I knew nothing about the game or 5e and found the difficulty just fine. As soon as I started learning the rules everything started melting. I didn't cheese anything and barely touched the consumables. A skilled gamer with a lot of experience with 5e should be able...

I loved BG3 but the fights all felt like they were in the same design of two layered wide corridors. I would've enjoyed it being mixed up with some wide open spaces, forested areas with trees to hide behind, really tight corridors, fights where the party was boxed in, etc.

I'm level 20 playing on hard. Ever since finding my Lawgiver I've just used it. When I found it I had 550 rounds and am down to 300. It's effective at very far range and close quarter combat, it's very strong. My "build" is a couple points into ballistic weapons and one point into rifle. I'm...

It's funny how unintuitive yet powerful this strategy, that we've been employing in EverQuest for over 20 years, is. Anytime I used it in BG3 it felt like pure cheese.

Thanks. It's so much fun exploring a newly released game with no fully fleshed out wiki right there explaining everything.

I got rekt by those gnolls when I was level 2. Noped my way into a lower level area and came back near the end of the act and curbstomped them. I think this was on balanced mode before I switched to Tactician. For me Act 1 "meta" was all about trying to find the lowest level mobs available. I...

Yeah the massive variation in weapon damage is confusing. I'm not sure if there's an attribute like "calibrated" that's causing it or if there's just a hidden ilvl scalar doing it. Right now I'm using a lawgiver and it's one-shotting mobs ez. I'm actually thinking about switching difficulty to...

The description of the starport for your outpost says you get a bunch of mods, I'm not sure if it's a superset of all available parts or what.

The parent trait is advised, they're just so wholesome. Terra Firma is probably optimal, like Cinge says almost all fighting is on land. Maybe that'll change later or with mods. Feels like very few story quests will have you board enemy vessels, so unless you chose that life you'll be fighting...

disagree. Man there's so many people arguing about whether this game is good. I've never seen such a divisive game release. I'm on team I love this game.

Also I'd love a mod that brings Karlach into Starfield. With eleven labs I'm pretty sure that could happen.

I'm jumping into outpost building. Choosing an outpost beacon location is the most jank shit. Maybe I'm missing something but I found a moon that has a bunch of starter resources on it but couldn't place the beacon where I could access them all until I searched on the internet. There's one 10...

Anyone use the shotgun? Im a rifle man rn. I'm rolling with the lawful good sarah or whatever. I've been on hard mode the entire game and she kind of trivializes everything. She's immortal and wastes anything she's actually hitting. The optimal strat is generally kiting mobs into her. Kinda...

I loved BG3 but everything felt hyper focused on providing you the exact experience the designers wanted with a few very lovingly built paths for you to follow. It felt close to a choose your own adventure book, which is great. Conversely, Starfield embraces the open galaxy gameplay and even...

It gets easier. By act 3 it's face roll if you roll with effective builds. If i played again I'd eschew using boots, rings, amulet, helmets and gloves. And maybe just play with three characters.

Mob loot is spawned on death. Me savescumming after finding out about this: after like 8 savescums on a level 16 pirate boss of some shithole. Cheating with style. I doubt I'll keep doing it, but it's kinda fun to explore the loot pool in a new game.

My monk was 8 monk + 4 rogue. Bonus actions on a monk are super strong, making that third level on a rogue very powerful.
