Great thing about unfinished series is you can discuss them as they release with the community, make theories/predictions and then see those theories/predictions be crushed by the authors ability to simple create new ideas instead of regurgitate old ones.

Sounds like revisionist history and comparing the strongest companions from ME1 with the weakest ones in ME2. I think I like ME2's companions more exactly because they didn't grow organically. They showed up ready to party.

Free trade / random loot has merit in of itself, especially if it succeeds in not only changing what zones people swarm but spreads out the population to different zones. But really, I'm just glad to see they're trying something fresh.
